Q: What do you think of Premier Gold? The share price has declined a lot compared to other gold companies. Do you know why the downtrend since the summer?

Q: In your summary of the task force report on Cannabis you mentioned in your last "OUR TAKEAWAY" that "the implementation is still far away". I take it that you mean years. This seems contrary my information as I've been advised that actual implementation could be as early as the fall of 2017!

Q: Would you consider XTC a buy or have the risks increased?

Q: I don't hold much in the way of fixed income but based on your sage advice, I have decided to take the plunge. The question now becomes the best way to do it. It seems I have three options. One, buy an ETF. This is easy to do, the MER cost is low and it provides diversification. However, there is no maturity so downside risk is greater and although the cost is low, there is still a cost. Two, buy preferreds. I understand that with the rate reset feature, downsize risk is minimized but there is no maturity date so the initial capital may never be regained. But they are easy to buy. Third, purchase individual bonds. The return could be higher (especially if corporate) and capital should be returned at maturity. However, I have no idea how to buy individual bonds. Can they be purchased through most on-line trading accounts? How do you find individual bonds that are for sale and how do you determine if it is good value (I have no particular expertise in this area)?

Is my synopsis fairly accurate? If so, what do you recommend as the best way to proceed in acquiring this class of assets?

Q: A follow up question on PBH if I may. I'm not questioning the value in PBH so much as I'm trying to understand how to interpret the numbers I see on the Globe's stock quote page. From 2012 to 2016, revenue has increased from 960 to 1,485 million, but net income was 15 mil in 2012 vs 12 million today, and diluted normalized EPS plus dividend was 2.10 in 2012 vs 2.14 today. I'm just wondering what I'm missing in the bottom line results that would justify a tripling of the stock price over the same period if the acquisitions aren't hitting the bottom line. I'm quite new to this and am just seeking to understand.
