Q: Can you please give me PE and forward PE for both companies. How do they differ? Even in a economically sensitive business, wouldn't you assume cjt can still grow with simply the transition to online versus BandM.

Q: I bought NMX in 2015 at .36 and sold it in 2016 for 1.84 then bought it back again at $1.09. It is up 60% since July. With today's surge it has reached 10% of my portfolio. Again. But compared with similar projects it is undervalued (ie Mason LLG.X that is at 2.25 and is no where near starting production). My dilemma is do I hold on or take profit. I am well diversified and going to retire in 60 days.

Q: I'm looking to establish a position in the tech sector. I'd prefer something with a reasonable valuation, good growth prospects and insider ownership. I see on BNN today you recommend both CLS and ABT. Are either of those a fit for my criteria or would you suggest something different?

Q: Hello 5I; After checking my percentage of portfolio in each category I find I only have 2 percent in Energy> I have the above 4 positions with the largest in Keyera. Reading questions and answers I see you recommend 10 percent. Would you agree with my positions and would be obliged if you would recommend others or even the renewable energy space. Q: Follow up question: as a guideline, with a "rock solid" defined benefit pension, what percentage, overall, of a $200,000 RRSP portfolio should be allocated to fixed income? Of the 4 funds you suggested, as a guideline, what percentage of the overall allocation go into each fund? Retirement 2-3 years away.

Q: Thank you for your comments to the person with the Federal Government defined benefit pension. I am in the same position and I have always regarded my pension as my fixed income component and my investments are 100% equity. In terms of income, my fixed income component pension is over 50% of my income which exceeds the usually recommended 60-40 equity/fixed income split. Most public investment advice is geared to people with no pension, in my opinion.

Q: On the company website for FC, I see a note that "dividends are treated as interest income for income tax purposes under the Canadian Income Tax Act."
I own some shares in FC and I acquired them expecting that the dividends paid would be taxed as dividends (Oops! Now I know differently). How then is it that a dividend can be treated as anything other than a dividend and what is the reasoning for a firm paying a dividend that gets taxed as interest? Why not call it what it is...interest? Thanks.
