Q: Hi could I please have your opinion on eCobalt Solutions as a speculative Cobalt company. I looked at the Thompson Reuters evaluation on TD waterhouse and they give it a "10" out of 10 rating. Also 2 analysts list it as a "strong buy". With the Cobalt price surging I'm looking for a way to benefit from the growth in demand, but with a company that has no ties to the Congo. Do you see potential in this company for a small hold? Technically it is right at the 200 day moving average.

Q: Could I get your take on Calloway Golf Company (ELY), please. I'm looking for US non-tech stocks with solid and reliable performance and growth.

Estimated EPS Growth: 24.1%
Estimated P/E Ratio: 238.60
DPS: 2.429000 (4.5%)
Price/Book Ratio: 0.85
If this range of of 50-55 is in fact a base building what do you see as a breakout for it.

Q: Hi 5i, What are your thoughts on XMA. Due to the Potash/Agrium deal 16.5% of this ETF is in Nutrien. Seems to me they should have diversified this over the past year as the deal took awhile to close. IMO, there is no need for this one stock to be such a large portion of this ETF. Please comment. Q: Can I get your thoughts on BGC - Bristol Gate Concentrated Canadian Equity ETF?
I'm considering it for my dividend portfolio for some diversification. Like many other I already have lots of financials, utility and energy holdings.

Q: In light of the recent market turmoil and prospects of a global trade war I feel I should have some exposure to gold. In your opinion, would it be best to invest in a specific gold miner (miners), a gold ETF or perhaps a royalty company. I'm looking for a longer term hold.

Q: I have the above (ZBK, CJP, VEE, XFH) ETF's making up part of my portfolio in order to gain exposure to international markets and US bank growth as a result of tax cuts, rising interest rates and deregulation. guests on BNN, Globe articles, and 5-i, and yet it never can break $ 4.00.
If gold goes up it generally goes down. Astute CEO. What is wrong?
I read an article in the Globe on March 29 stating that for every $ 1.00
increase in the price of WCS DESJARDINS estimates that athabasca oilsands cash flow will increase 10.4%. This AM it was announced
that due to less imports by the USA from Venezeula coupled with
Enbridge reducing what they call airpockets in their shipping system
the WCS/WTI has reduced from $ 28.00 in February, 2018 to $ 18.00
today, and ATH is down today. At an increase of $ 10.00/ barrel for
ATH provided it stays there, Wouldn't one think Ath would go up a few cents?

Q: I bought GE several years ago for its stable dividend (sigh). I have been pondering whether to let it ride and see how it recovers or if I should sell before it drops to nothing. Looking at what is being published goes in both directions as to whether it should be held or sold. From your Q&A it appears that you wouldn't suggest getting in. What is your position about holding a persons current position?

Q: Would you comment on ICE on the NYSE, please. It has performed nicely since 2015 and wondered if their earnings, etc. bode well for the future. -- i.e., justify continue to hold in this market? Although it's been a "bit rocky'", it certainly hasn't suffered inordinately. (Is there a better Canadian alternative?)

I am wondering which sectors are good for "parking" money at this time (that is, to avoid the crazy volatility of tech, for someone who is always heavily weighted in tech). Is gold a good alternative?

Q: About to sell this real loser, however I do respect & appreciate your opinion. Have owned it for nearly 3 yrs & while rising slightly at one point during a momentary pop-up in Jan-Feb of this year, it has now dropped 25%. Before dumping, I thought you might have a contrarian position as its book V is nearly $8.50. Thank you.

If one wanted to have a higher concentrated portfolio based on 20 names, and using the Balanced Equity portfolio as a foundation, which 7 names would you omit from the portfolio if you wanted the highest growth tilt possible?
