Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Juste a note that Shane was asking if you would endorse a buy based on the drop. Your answer was thorough but did not state what you would advise at todays price:

Q: Hi Team,
Meta took a 15B one time non cash tax hit as a result of trumps “big beautiful bill”. What does this really mean non cash? Why aren’t other companies reporting the same type of hit? Aren’t all companies under the same tax rules? This news seems to be scewing strong operational results and causing a big share price drop. Looks like a buying opportunity to me. Do you agree?

Q: BMO has a series of ETFs called "BMO SPDR Select Sector Index ETFs". These invest in various sectors of the US market but are domiciled in Canada and trade in $CDN. Therefore no direct currency conversion costs, no US tax exposure. Available in currency-hedged and unhedged versions. Please discuss the overall strategy and logic behind this approach. Are the MERS charged by BMO reasonable for the perceived advantages? Seems to me that intelligent use of these products could eliminate the need for a Canadian investor to maintain a separate $US brokerage account (except perhaps to trade International equities/funds). Additional thoughts/comments about these products would be welcome.

Thank you,
IslandJohn

Q: Dear Peter et al:

I am NOT in a Panic mode....yet! Having been a long term subscriber, I KNOW "Time IN the market" is more important than "Timing the market"!
Also know that "pull backs" are NOT Crashes!
I have your favourites in Gold, FNV/AEM/WPM/AGI. ARIS in the Mid tier. Added Silver with Ag/PAAS/CDE. (Down now!) I was going to add your recent pick SVM. But before I could pull the trigger the sudden drop in Gold/Silver happened.

With this in mind, where do you see the new floor for Gold and Silver? 3600/40 respectively? Should one add or wait or sell?
Thanks as always.

Q: Hi, I own the companies mentioned above. Companies on unregistered account have been beaten down, what order would you sell them in or should some be held?

Thank you

Q: Good afternoon;

I am trying to understand first, is the Formula 1 business segment of Liberty an attractive investment and second, if the answer is yet how best to invest in it - there are a number of stock possibilities.

Liberty has a number of arms and businesses; one being F1. The F1 brand is starting to strike me as one Peter Lynch may pay attention to. While I do not watch it much I am bumping into more and more people who have turned to it. Televised events appear to be more frequent and stands seem to be full. It is the pinnacle of racing and a magnet for big money and racing tech.

I would appreciate your assessment of the F1 brand, its fit within Liberty, risks/opportunities, if you consider it a worthy investment and how best to invest.

As always, thanks.

Q: Based on the trading of CSU over the last week or so it seems when there is weakness in AI stocks or commentary in the press about an AI bubble, CSU trades up. When AI stocks are strong like today CSU trades down, sometimes sharply. Owning CSU seems to be a way to hedge against an AI bubble being pricked. Of course if the bubble is a delusion then owning CSU may prove painful. It seems also there are market jitters going into CSU’s quarter and volume was up on today’s decline.

Q: I’d like your thoughts on Chipotle after their recent quarterly results. Comparable-store sales have now been flat or slightly negative for the past few quarters, mainly due to weaker traffic, even though the company continues to open a large number of new restaurants each year and expand internationally. At what price would you start to be interested in this company or you would avoid it simply ?
