Q: Down around ~40% on Kelso & Questor in 8 month old's RESP. $1800 to use elsewhere if I sell.
Context is 3 RESP's 4 year old, 2 year old, 8 month hold, managed as single portfolio (new contributions annually). 14 Names held at relatively equal weights are KLS, QST, GUD, PHM, CXI, PSD, ADW, BNS, WEF, MCD, CSU, FFH, SU, ESL. Happy with all except maybe PSD is a bit of a dud lately given sector.
Sit tight on KLS & QST given investment horizon?
Sell and put into a little overweight in one of 12 names left?
Or sell and put into AirBoss or other 5i stock/ETF suggestion?

Q: BCE or ET? My thesis is to hold this for income and I would like to consolidate my portfolio. In order to do so I need to choose between these 2. Which one would you choose?

Q: Hi, When asked about DRT today you mentioned that the "growth rate is disappointing." Does this mean you don't recommend buying the stock now?
I own a half position. I had heard on BNN that this quarter wouldn't be great so planned to buy more to complete my position after it fell on the news. Is this still a good plan? Or are you suggesting that people wait to buy?
Thanks,
Carla

Q: This is a comment only I could have been much better off sticking to 5i portfolios and not worry about all other stocks.
Now I learned it hard way.

Q: The stock price has spiked in last week and was wondering if you feel it is a bit ahead of itself...perhaps finding a bid due to weakness in other sectors? I have owned it since the high $90's.
Many thanks as always!

Q: Hi,
Can you tell me why TRL has been declining lately? Have the fundamentals changed or is this just a case of investors bailing out in a tough market?
Thanks

Q: TSM pays about 3.5% div and it was a slow Eddy and gave me a 70% return since 2011. For this year to date it has lost 5.9%. This is in my RRSP. Cy (Cypress Semi) is much smaller and I think it has a much better growth potential, and it also pays a 4% dividend.I am a semi retired aggressive investor. Do you think this is a good swap?
Q: Both companies have now reported what appears excellent results. Could you comment on colliers' results and do you have a preference for one or the other. Do you view them as long term holds? Thanks for your insights

Q: Hello 5i,
My 16y old just got a job!! so I'm helping put together an investment portfolio. Basically its the MoneySaver ETF portfolio minus the fixed income and gold ETFs, also I've added ZRE for a total of nine ETFs. The plan is when $1200 dollars is made at the new job, one of he ETFs is bought. To me this seems like a good start, maybe even a finish depending on the interest in investing. What do you think?

Q: Although a penny stock always has some risk, you thoughts on Lingo Media would be appreciated.
Q: Hello Peter & Co,
There are obviously a variety of metrics to measure the valuation of the stock. I usually look at the ratio ROE/forward PE which should be above 1; you mention in your report on BIN that, due to its capital structure, EV/Sales and EV/EBITDA are better metrics. Could you please explain? How does the average retail investor parse the various ways of measuring valuations?
Thanks,
Antoine
