Q: I bought RMP a little over a year ago anticipating a bounce when oil started to recover. It bounced--just in the wrong direction. It seems to be treading water now as oil keeps going up. What are your thoughts on it going forward. Should I sell it , take my loss & move on or should I hang in for another couple of quarters. Thanks for your advice Peter
Q: In the current interest rate environment would you prefer a corporate bond etf like cbo or a preferred share etf like zpr or hpr?

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Can you comment on how rising interest rates will affect ECN and EFN? I was an owner of EFN before the split, so I now own both, but I was thinking of adding to my ECN position.
Thanks,
Jordan

Q: I am down 7% on my Crescent Point shares and I am thinking about selling and taking a superficial loss. My replacement security would be Whitecap Resources...Thoughts? Other than the last few months, their share prices seem to be highly correlated...Both move in tandem with the price of oil. Also, I would sell WCP and purchase CPG 31 days from now.
Q: Which of these two would be your current pick for a long term hold? (Looking at both growth and income.)
Thanks for your great service!

Q: Would this be a good entry point for Silver Wheaton and do you think they can sustain the dividend? Thanks
Q: Hi !
Nearly a year ago, you mentioned Silicon Motion and Cambrex as your favorite US growth stocks. Where do you see them going now ?
As I am down 17% on Cambrex and 8% on Silicon Motion, do you think I should hold, sell or average down ?
Thank you for your enlightened views,
Jacques

Q: Now that Donald has consistently shown his character it seems obvious that Hilary will be the next President. Do you still expect the markets to be jittery?
Q: Hi, what is your opinion on EAT? It's been going up a lot since the beginning of this month and I noticed that the trading volume has also substantially been a lot higher. Is it worth it to keep? Bought at 11 cents.
Q: Can you give me your view on this US oil company.Symbol WLL-N

Q: As a retired investor, I hold positions in both company for the income. I am concerned with the U.S. Feds possible rate increase in December and the BOC's statement that they seriously discussed lowering interest rates and their effects on the share price of these stocks as capital preservation is paramount to me.
Your opinion on this would be greatly appreciated as to a hold or sell.
Thank you, Peter and Team

Q: Is the following scenario possible?
Let's say there is a stock traded on an exchange and the shares are worth about $1 per share. At a particular time, Buyer A wants to buy 100 shares and puts in a market order for 100 shares. At the same time, Seller X has 100 shares but he puts in his sell order at a price of $500 per share.
Would this trade take place? Could this happen on the TSX? If so, would you recommend that a dollar limit should be placed on all orders?

Q: Good day 5i!
I am looking for a high quality ETF in regards to renewable energy. I considered XEN but see that there are several oil companies listed and I am already heavy oil/gas.
I am looking at PDB as a global ETF with most of its coverage being the US and 5%CDN. I wanted an ETF with more Canadian coverage but can't seem to locate any.
Any suggestions? Do you think there will be big global growth in renewables over next ten years? Which ETF would you suggest to capture growth in this area?
Thanks again for your valuable service!

Q: Hi,
Is now a good time to invest in a preferred share etf? It is a non-registered account that is focused on income. How safe are preferred shares in a rising rate environment?
Thanks,
Jason

Q: How does fall in GBP effect Magna International. It looks like Europe sales are increasing quarter over quarter.. will upcoming quarter hurt the numbers because of fall in GBP? Even though they're hedging? First 2 Quarters - average of 1.42-43.. 3rd Quarter looks to be below 1.3. Or will it be delayed?
