Q: Hi 5i,
I have been following Sierra Wireless since mid May when it reported results that significantly beat expectations. It has moved steadily higher and today on above average volumes, it was up 6.45% on a down day in the market and hit a 1 year high and closed slightly below this high. I am wondering if SW will be a big beneficiary of the Federal Governments initiatives for a new telecom framework for resiliency through mutual assistance and emergency roaming? Would appreciate your thoughts on this perspective and what other companies could be beneficiaries?
Thank you

Q: Hi Peter
I own Southern energy ,Mountain Province Diamonds, Vicinity Motors and healthspace .
All of these stocks have dropped significantly like the rest of the market .
Are there any issues with the fundamentals of these companies that justify these drops . Should i just wait out the current market jitters
Thank you
Howard

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor. Can I have your latest thoughts on Leon's please?
I bought it over several tranches through 2021 to get to a "full" position and my average cost is $22.50. I am ok hanging on, while waiting for an upswing but also don't have a problem taking a tax loss and moving on. Not all investments work out.
Just looking for your thoughts going forward and what you would do?
Thanks...much appreciated...Steve

Q: I am participating in an investment challenge at work. We all pick a portfolio of 1 to 15 CAD or US stocks July 18, 2022 and revalue them October 31, 2023. Whichever portfolio grows the most in CAD wins a cash prize. Can you give me any suggestions of stocks poised to "light it up" over this time period. Note that there is no entry fee so I can invest in extremely risky volatile stocks.

Q: These six companies comprise my “Small Cap Canadian Technology” holdings. As I like their long term prospects, I am content to hold all of them for their recovery potential over the next few years. However, I would like a second opinion from you: would you agree they are all good companies worth holding, or would you switch any of them out for better quality names? If so, what would be your suggested replacements and why?
Q: Hi, do yo feel they manage to survive or go bankrupt. Greetings Peter.
Q: What is your opinion on this company although small, rumor has it could have prevented the rogers crash.
Q: Thoughts on VQS?
Tks.

Q: Based on your answer over a year ago...has anything changed for better for worse in your view on this particular stock addressing the points you came up with previously and looking at trending financial metrics for URC? Would it be a buy here at these levels, hold or sell? How do you feel about the uranium market going forward, the effect of the war and sanctions on Russia on the uranium market?

5I RESEARCH ANSWER:
There is not much to add really. It still has no revenue, losses and negative cash flow. It had $11M cash as of its last report. We have no real concerns with its royalty portfolio, but the stock has moved with the sector as opposed to any specific company news. We think the outlook is decent but would see no need to add to a naturally growing position. Insiders are 4%. Uranium Energy is 19.5%. We think management is quite decent overall.

Q: As a long term hold (5+ years), do you see one/both of these businesses as having strong growth potential? I hold small positions in each, and am looking to potentially add to one (or both). Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i Team,
It has been more than one and a half year since you commented on Moneta. Is it buyable at the current price? Is there a risk they will issue more shares in the near future to finance their activities.
Many thanks.

Q: Looking at Converge’s press releases, it seems they have 40%ish revenue growth with 9%ish organic. They have a large number of acquisitions.
My questions: is CTS considered a roll-up?
How long is the runway for acquisitions?
And what is the trend of their debts ratios?
Thanks

Q: Thoughts on Mara as a long term investment? Insider buys?
Q: Looking to add one of these to my TFSA which holds my more growth oriented stocks. Which one and why ? Thanks. Derek
Q: Dear 5i team.
I'm taking another look at QTRH, but I'm confused by the last year or so of Q+A.
In the latest Qtr, they reported what looked like breakout numbers. But, as I look fwd to next qtr, revenue goes back close to previous running rates. Can you explain what's causing the lumpy numbers? (did they sell wilan?)
In previous questions I believe the estimate was 1.50/share in cash? Is this still the case? If so, at 1.75 today, looks like a screaming buy with a 2.5% yield. What am I missing please.
Many thanks for your help.

Q: Thoughts on xcs at current levels? Is it a good time to chip away or are we too early in the cycle?
