Q: Morning-I am a retiree whom is dependent on monthly income to survive.I have 60K to invest in my cash account hoping to create some income. I am thinking of T,BNS,and ENB (alternating 4% monthly returns)...or would 5i think that monthly incomes from CSH.UN , AD and EIF (better tax break) be an OK strategy. I have both BE and Income portfolios covered in registered accounts , full up in TFSA ... what to do with cash??? Thanks for all you do.

Q: I Would like to buy a canadian ETF that has all us banks, preferably the large banks. Either hedged or unhedged, depending on your decision as to which is better. Do you think this is a good idea?
Thank you for all your great help.

Q: What do you think about VNTV and it's purchase of WorldPay as a two to three year hold. I note the P/E is very high. Thanks.
Q: My financials consist of the above two stocks and a full position in GSY. AIF has been week and I am down 9%. AIF is 1.85% of my portfolio. ECN has done well and is up 12%. It makes up 2.25% of my portfolio. Which would you top up to a full position at this time. I also have a managed account that holds the usual canadian banks so I have narrowed my choice to the above two.
Q: Hello,
I bought Intact Financial a few years ago for the rising dividends. But every year seems to bring increasingly catastrophic floods and forest fires. Am I picking up nickels in front of a steam roller?

Q: Hi
What impact, if any, would rising interest rates have on DFN share price. I like it for income. Would this be a good time to add to a position?
Thanks for all you do

Q: What do you think of investing in fairfax India or fairfax Africa?
Q: I know that you suggest Sun Life for a Canadian life insurance company, but how would it stack up against the potential of other life insurance companies in the US? Brian Acker recently recommended Met Life saying it was much cheaper than Sun Life. How would you compare Sun Life to US companies? Overall what Life Insurance companies would you invest in regardless of Canada or US?

Q: Hi, with the rise in interest rates, I was expecting to see a bit more of a bounce in SLF and MFC. Currently, I have a 1% position at a much lower entry price on SLF, and about a 4.5% position in MFC. Would adding more SLF here for a longer term hold now that rates have moved up here make sense? The entire portfolio is pretty well diversified and I have time on my side.

Q: I am looking for investments which will respond positively to rising interest rates. I suspect CPD has anticipated a rise and I am told E*Trade will substantially benefit from rising rates - why? what are E*Trade prospects and for that sector in the current environment? Can you recommend an ETF for the US regional banks and do you think they will outperform? Thanks for your consideration
