Q: I have been buying HHL ETF over the last number of months, but it continues to struggle. Would say this is just sector weakness and if so how do you see the sector - will it eventually recover? My only other Healthcare stock is is ABBV so I am not overly exposed but this ETF is close to a full position, for income. Are there any issues with the ETF, and are you cautious? Thanks so much.
Q: CanI please have your thoughts on BWXT. Is it too late to get in? As well is there an ETF that trades on the TSX that follows Uranium stocks? Thank You.
Q: In a recent question, you mentioned this was a solid liquid AI etf. I am also looking at the Canadian CIAIQ. Do the benefits of the former outweigh the Canadian etf? I would prefer buying Canadian wherever possible and wherever it makes a good rational case.
Q: Im up 90% on a Friday p% position on this name which I only bought last Tuesday. It seems to jump every day. It’s not very often that one catches lightning. Would you hold at this point or sell half? Thanks,
For bond (in CAD) exposure and relatively safe income exposure: is owning both BMO Money Market Fund (ZMMK) and Purpose Global Bond EFT a way to go? Or do you prefer one over the other? Or other alternatives?
Q: I am looking to put a portfolio of ETF's together to provide exposure to the total US market as well as some limited International exposure. I would like some FX protection hence the inclusion of some hedged ETF's.
For the US segment - I came up with the following holdings
VOO - 50%
ZAA - 20%
ZMID.F - 10%
VIOO - 10%
VIG - 10%
For the International Segment - I am looking at ZDM
Do the ETF choices and mix look reasonable to you - any other suggestions.
Thanks
Q: I just got my semi annual one page share holders report from GDXY .... I'm sure you did as well as I see it in your disclaimer below ..... So I'll just refer to sections and you can reference your copy of the report ....... I thought this was a gold miners ETF ? .... Looking on the left side of the page I see
Security Type - Investments U.S Treasury Securities ....... 64.9%
Cash and Equivalents ...... 31.9%
Purchased Call Options ...... 3.9%
On the right side of the page I see " What did the fund invest in ? " ..... And other than the treasuries and the call options a list of very small negative numbers ......
So in my best Wendy's advertising voice { where's the beef } .....Where's the gold ? ..... And what do those negative numbers mean ? ....... This fund appears to be 96% treasuries and cash . How the heck do they come up with a yield of 43% ? It looks to me like there is very little option trading going on ..... Please explain how this works ...... { in words an idiot can understand because that would be me } ...... Thanks for your terrific service ......
Q: Growing economic inequality and an expanding class of super-rich seem to be basic global trends. Are there etfs targeted to luxury goods and if so, what are the best performers? If no etfs, can you recommend 3 companies?
Jack
Q: Hello 5i,
I am curious as to whether or not both of these could be owned or if there is too much overlap. Do you have a strong preference for one over the other? Finally, do you consider one of these to be "safer" than the other?
Many thanks!!
Cheers,
Mike
Q: I noticed that on 5i website the P/E for VTV is 44, while on the Vanguard's page for VTV, the P/E is 19.6. Same on Yahoo Finance. Is the P/E on 5i page a typo or it's a forward P/E?
