Thanks Tom

Q: Hello,

The current BCE dividend appears to be propping up the stock price.

Could you comment on the BCE payout ratio and how this recent acquisition changes that? Also book value?

How long can they could continue to pay the current dividend until the writing is on the wall and they have to cut?

Is this an emerging AQN? Purchase an overpriced second rate asset in the US to distract the buying pool from the actual deteriorating business situation.

This is a lot of stuff - however I am now taking a much more critical look at my other stocks.

Take as many points a needed.

Thank you

Q: Regarding LMN’s latest quarter, how do metrics compare with the early days of CSU and TOI around free cash flow and organic growth since these were the weak spots. Did CSU or TOI experience these same drops or weaknesses and how did they turn it around?
Thanks!

Q: Looking to move some money into the bond section of my portfolio. On the more risky side looking at XHY and USHY. How would you rate these for safety going forward on the the capital gain/loss side. Also I may sell some stocks like Magna that don't appear to be doing much.

I've been listening to Howard Marks and he thinks now is the time to be leaning towards bonds and Warren Buffet has been raising cash.

Q: Hi 5i Guys,
We have generated some cash and I would like your thoughts about parking the extra cash in BCE or Telus and at least getting paid a nice dividend which greatly exceeds the interest that we're getting.
Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks

Q: I'm wondering if AEM is still a buy at this price, or could you recommend the price when you would buy AEM? Is there another gold stock you would choose with good upside and as a solid company? Thanks.

Q: There was a question asked this summer about your favorite stocks in both Canada and the US in each of the 11 sectors. I cannot seem to find it. Could you please answer that question again ? If your answer has not changed, could you please provide a link to that past answer ?

Q: Hi there. A question regarding Go Easy GSY. We have been fortunate to be in a profit position above 30% in this company. With 6 recent revisions to the downside and a 6 month performance of -1.7 versus the 10.51% in SPTSX would you hold into earnings considering this could be quite a volatile week? or take some profit? We hold a sizable amount in our TFSA so capital gains is a non-issue. Thanks!

Q: In December I moved ATD from my TFSA to my non registered account where it promptly tanked and continues to be very volatile. I'm down over 5%. Is there a rule of thumb about how long one lets a once winning stock ride before throwing in the towel? As an older senior, I don't have a lot of years to ride out the loss, but am willing to for a while if it seems reasonable.

Q: I am planning to sell my shares in CNR. I have done well holding it for several years but there just appears to be opportunities for better price appreciating than CNR has over the past couple of years. I would prefer to replace it with a Canadian company. It does not need to be an Industrial. I am currently over weight financials. I am ok with some risk. What companies would you consider as a replacement?

Thanks for all your help,

Mike
