Q: In one of your recent updates there was a bar graph which compared the performance of all sectors of the economy. Technology outperformed all.
Going forward over the next year. is there a sector or sectors that you think will perform better than others?

Q: This stock was up over 23% on Tuesday Sept 29th. Any idea what is happening here besides a new appointment to the Board of Directors?

Q: I'm a long term holder of Fortis (in the "hold forever" part of my portfolio). I have been seeing quite a few headlines regarding Fortis's commitment to moving into renewable energy, including wind and solar.

Here is one recent announcement: "FortisBC announced its energy conservation and efficiency program expenditures will increase substantially to $368.5 million over the 2019-2022 period. The new program represents a doubling of expenditure in 2019 and a tripling of expenditure by 2022. The new program will lower energy use, emissions and costs in everything from hospitals to homes. Customer benefits include extending the residential high-efficiency natural gas furnace rebate to be offered year-round and providing greater access to certified experts to help manage energy use."

How do you see this move impacting Fortis's earnings and share price (with the current investor interest in renewables)? Do you see this move as part of a broader trend with ultility/power companies increasing their stakes in renewable energy?

Q: This company recently did an IPO and its share price is increasing nicely. Can you provide a quick synopsis of the metrics for this firm and its future prospects?

Q: I have owned Enbridge for many years and have a fair but dwindling gain.
It seems to have persistent negative momentum, perhaps because of high debt and the perception it is tied to non-renewable energy.
Do you have some degree of confidence the stock price can stabilize or reverse? The dividend is nice, but not at the cost of capital loss

Q: I have owned this for several years and while they seem to do a lot of good things the stock price has stubbornly been resistant to change. I figure the sector has a lot to do with this. There is also not a lot of coverage for this company so I am wondering if, as a proxy for sentiment, one might look to coverage of Pulte Homes, for example? I am not so much interested in switching names (unless you think it is reasonable to do so) but Pulte has been getting a lot of positive press lately, appearing on several lists as being undervalued, so I am wondering if that same optimism would apply. If so, would you see adding to TCN as a prudent move at this time?

Q: I am looking at investing a small amount in Amazon, just for the heck of it and because I use it regularly (I am retired and living off Canadian dividends).
