Q: Good morning Peter and Team, In your answer to Rod, isn't CUD another "equivalent" to VIG:US and VGG that trades in US stocks? Its one-year chart shows better performance than the two Vanguard ETFs cited.

Q: 3 excellent stocks in your potfolio.Note that recently the advances of Cgx & SJ stalled @ $52-52.50 & $50 respectively.Please explain.On the other hand,Syz took its time to break the $8 & $9 resistances,now just on top($10.08) of the $10 resistance with next resistance @ $11.It could be a multi bagger as previously suggested. Q: Can you please provide an update on ORT. The technology sounds promising but what are the chances that they will deliver?

Q: It seems to me that the trading pattern of ZCL was very unusual yesterday and today. Yesterday over 200,000 shares traded (about 4X the daily average), yet the price was “contained” within a 1 cent range from 8.99 to 9.00 the whole day. So far today it is the same thing with the price range contained from 8.99 to 9.00. Does this look out of the ordinary to you?

I searched all top picks on BNN’s Market Call, and Market Call Tonight shows for the last 3 years to see how often ZCL was a top pick. It was a top pick three times, but only within the last 3 months (April 8 @ $8.05; May 31 @ $8.69, and June 20 at $9.00). It was not a top pick when it was under $5, $6, $7, and now that it has gone up 40% in a year it suddenly becomes a top pick of several BNN guests. Hmmm. When several BNN guests suddenly make a small company that is not well known a top pick it makes me a little suspicious (could they be unloading after the nice run up).

Reading previous questions about ZCL I see that 5i has liked this stock for a few years. What would you consider a good entry point?

Q: I am wondering if you know of any companies to invest in that are involved in "wearable Technologies".

Q: I just got off a wild ride with D BOX and am now looking for something not as wild. Things that show up on my watch list are CTH (Cynapus), EFL and PHI (Pacific). Could you please give me a brief opinion. On another note, I get notified of US stocks I have had where they want me to get involved in a class action suit. I did this with Synoforest and it took a massive amount of time and all kinds of information and after years I got less than 1% of what I lost. Is this common practice with these class action suits? On June 15, 2016 Mega Profit acquires shares of Reservoir an affiliate of (XGC)Shandong Xiangguang Group. Then, on June 17, 2016 Nevsun increases offer to buy Reservoir by $2.00 (Cash)or approximately US 75 million. Then, the Nevsun shares had gone down by about .09%, so did they over pay for Reservoir shares and is Nevsun shares a sell or hold now?

Q: The ETF ZEQ has a yield of 2.09%. If I understand, there are withholding taxes of 15% on foreign dividends. Is this included in that yield of 2.09%? If not, then what I get in my account is 1.77%?

Q: Hello, on my online broker website I see a short ratio (short interest ratio) of 7.58 for LIF, and of 1.00 for CSH.UN. What does this ratio mean? What should be the ideal short ratio for Canadian companies in general? Best regards, Gervais

Q: Yesterday, I received an email from my online discount broker Questrade announcing a new service which they described as follows: Securities lending is a strategy used to generate additional income by loaning shares you already own to other financial institutions. Individual investors in Canada can’t do this just yet but Questrade is thinking of offering it to its clients.

Questrade then went into some detail (but not enough to my satisfaction) about how to proceed. Can you shed any light on this practice and what potential problems might arise from participating in it?

Q: Appreciate your thoughts on Cipher which has been extremely frustrating to hold. Do you think price can appreciate if and when the sector sentiment improves?

Q: I am wondering what you think would have happened to the share price of Concordia had they NOT made the large acquisition of AMCo in September 2015. Do you think CXR would have been better off?

The acquisition of AMCo cost them US$3.5B, and the market liked it initially. They issued 8 million shares at US$65 to help pay for the acquisition. Yet the market cap of CXR is now only US$1.2B, much less than half of what they paid for AMCo, and the share price is now under US$24. Now they put themselves up for sale. Why would they do that?

I know they have been tainted by the problems in the healthcare sector like at VRX, and Hillary’s tweet, but still wasn’t it supposed to be a great acquisition for them, yet the stock has lost almost 75% of its value since then. Yes they have large debt, and that was known when they made the acquisition, and it didn’t seem to matter then. Now everyone cares about it, and the stock is under a short attack.

I want to be a believer in CXR, however, I like to understand what is going on, and at the moment I don’t get it. What lessons can a retail investor learn from this fiasco?

What is your opinion of this fund for retirement income? What are the risks? The yield is 7.25% and pays monthly. I read an article that said it's currently selling at a discount.

Q: I realize the U.S. isn't your area of focus, but do you have any thoughts about WYNN in the shorter term ? Would you expect it to fall off from its current price, stay the same or get stronger ? Many thanks.

What are your thoughts on Birchcliff acquisition of the Encana assets and the issuance of new Equity in support of acquiring these assets. Does it make sense and is the stock fully valued at this point given the recent run up since the fall?

Q: The share price continues to languish, although it is up substantially from its earlier lows (but still down from its highs). Despite this malaise, the stock continues to draw widespread support from several BNN analysts and others. Why is the proposed restructuring not better reflected in share price? Does it suggest there is a greater deal of risk in this happening than first thought or that restructuring will not prove to be that beneficial?
