-
Brookfield Global Infrastructure Securities Income Fund (BGI.UN)
Q: Hi, I would appreciate a current update on these two funds. Also will they benefit much from government investment in Canada and the U.S.? Do their distributions seem secure? Thank you, Bob
Q: with Front street included the combined entity i believe will have about 3 billion in assets . Given this can you comment on a reasonable way to put a valuation on Aston Hill?

Cargojet Inc. Common and Variable Voting Shares (CJT)
Q: Hi Peter, I'm wondering about your latest insight on CJT? I've had it since the income trust days which is great. I don't ever plan to sell CJT. I realize their barriers to entry are massive but they have negative income. How is that possible? But they have positive CFO, their assets are growing more than doubling from last year but it looks like their debt is engulfing its equity. I find that SHOP, although totally different sector of course has the same scenarios but has a lower debt/equity ratio. What do you think and is it a concern for both companies? How should I evaluate these companies better because I view them as good companies still because of their competitive edge. Thanks.
Q: TIME OF REPORT RELEASE
Do you have a policy on the time of day reports are issued? Specifically, are reports ever issued during the trading day? I noticed mid afternoon yesterday there was a report on QST. The report stated coverage was being terminated and the final rating was 'C'. The stock declined yesterday. If not done already, can I suggest that all reports be released 'off hours' so all members have an equal chance to review their contents and decide what they want to do with their holdings. When reports are issued during a trading day, it's a crap shoot whether you just happened to scan the reports section and if you were inclined to sell the stock, got lucky and beat the rush. If there was a policy, all members would feel they were on an equal footing.
If there already is a policy and I'm unaware of it, please re-state what it is.
thank you

Q: Could you please give me your opinion on the outlook for ROG? Is insider support reasonable?
Q: I hold xlk in my RRIF as part of technology. However I am unhappy with the larger weighting given to "giants" as is the case with iyw I could accept the minimally higher cost of ryt for it's equal weighting and better performance. liquidity seems good. Do you think this a reasonable switch. I prefer to keep a US dollar ETF. Thanks for your advice
Q: Is there an ETF in the Aerospace sector that is hedged to CDN $
Thanks
David
Thanks

Q: Hi,
I am holding RBC Life Science and Tech mutual fund (RBF1030)which is a nice mix of U.S. technology and health care stocks.
What would be a good ETF to replace it or, alternatively, which stocks combination would replace it advantageously ?
Thanks again for your exceptional service,
Jacques

Q: Hi Peter and Team,
I'm in the process of doing a sector analysis in all our family accounts to determine overweight and underweight sectors. I see that we are very underweight in US stocks and healthcare. In my wife's RRSP, she owns ZLB which I'm planning to sell, as its return has seemed to stall lately when compared to other Canadian ETFs such as CDZ and VDY, realizing that they're all different 'animals'. A more appropriate sector balance would occur with CLU.C or CLU, with the added caveat that these two ETFs are available commission-free from iTrade. Should I choose CLU.C or CLU to round out our US exposure, and what ETF product do you recommend for healthcare? As always, thanks in advance for your timely advice.

Q: What is your call on this stock generally and how does the recent share issue affect your view ?
Stock price is down 8% today on the the announcement of the bought deal: shares being issued with proceeds intended to pay down debt, etc.
Eric Nuttall says don't buy, but Josef Schachter has this as a past top pick. TD has it as an Action List Buy and shows 7 "strong buy" recommendations, but S&P Capital IQ has a "Strong Sell".
Any wisdom to add ?

Q: There seems to be renewed enthusiasm for mining stocks, with the likes of Teck, Quantum and Hudbay going up like rockets. What do you think of the mining sector (excluding gold)? My impression is you've been fairly lukewarm over this in the recent past. My portfolio has a very small bit of Teck (about 1%) and am wondering if I should be putting more money into this sector.
Q: could I have your insight on this company thanks bill

Q: Hello Peter, I am looking for income, safety and some growth, I will appreciate your suggestion, ranking, perhaps a better choice of yours. Many thanks, J. A. P. Burlington
Q: Just wanted to say it is a good thing that 5i was and is consistent with answering questions for many members.
It has become obvious to me that many members can only see 1 way of making $$$ and they depend on others to direct their investing thoughts for them. Considering we all do not have the time or interest to do otherwise 5i is of great value to them.
Myself, who has posted both here and in the Forum about the cannabis stocks, have always said they were traders only in my opinion.
This is the 2nd or 3rd (memory) time they have had momentary spikes over the past ~ decade.
Personally I invest for the very long term (+20 years), use DRIP's, shorter time frames & have the ability to Day Trade when I see obvious profits.
I have made enough trading the Cannabis stocks to cover my 5i membership for the remainder of my life +++.
Thanx for the steady hand you present to all the "Investors" of varying abilities.

Q: May I have your assessment of WCN. Is it priced for perfection at the current price (close to 52 week US high) ?
Thanks, Tim
Thanks, Tim
Q: I'm helping my daughter (mid-20s) manage her TFSA, which is her only portfolio. Currently, it consists of IPL 30%, TOY 28% , SIS 18% and KXS 23%. She’s wants to keep TOY, SIS and KXS, but is thinking of selling IPL. She is more interested in growth stocks. Do you consider selling IPL a good move or is it best to keep it; and, can you suggest 2-3 other stocks to add to round things out, given the other holdings. She's looking at a minimum 3-5 year timeframe.
