Q: Hello team,
Thank you for the portfolio review. It is a great help and a terrific service to mankind. All my ducks are now in a row after a lot of quacking but now all is calm.
Question: When you write that segregated positions should be 2% and ETF's 5%:
is that 2% of:
1)just only the equity,
2)the complete portfolio including paid up residences and safety expenses cash, or
3)the complete trading portfolio including fixed?
Is that 5% of
1. All the ETF's,
2. 5% of just the fund ETF's and 5% of the fixed ETF'S separated out?
3. 5% of the complete portfolio as above?
4. 5% of the complete trading portfolio?
thank you
Stanley Cohen

Q: CHH has issued a press release of their signing a New 5-year Credit Facilities for Completion of Debt Refinancing Plan. The reduction in borrowing costs from $26.4M in 2015 to a pro-forma of $4.5M along with a reduction in their weighted average interest rate from 6.7% to 5.25% is impressive. Would you please provide your assessment of this company and also comment if it time to buy this stock? Thanks Gordon

Q: Hi 5i,

I'm looking for some help picking my next 2 or 3 stocks or ETF to add to the income portfolio listed above.I started building this portfolio 5 month ago hoping not to buy at the top. I'm trying to buy 1 or 2 positions every month to average in to the market.
Planned retirement date December 2018.

Thanks in advance.

Q: I plan on contributing $2500 a year for my daughters RESP. Since these are smaller amounts should I just be adding some ETF's? I currently have some TD and ENB as I feel these are good long term investments, but I don't know how much diversification the RESP should have. Would IWO,be a good add, or should I just add a new position every year, of a high quality dividend payer?

Thanks as always.

Q: I am 74 years old and need some of these money within next couple of years. So I try to watch my growth carefully. I try to keep to the 6% rule. But my problem is to find better growing stocks. So, why sell??
Here are a few questions:
Is it time to sell 50% of the following?
VUN , more than 10%
SHOP, 15%
Is MX safe for the next 6 months?
Can you suggest a replacement for NPI?
SIS has grown more than 70%. Do you recommend selling 50%
I know this is more than 1 question, just charge for them all.
Thanks
Margita

Q: Hi, are there consensus numbers for Spin Master earnings next week? I'm curious to see if the consensus numbers are lower for the Q1 to reflect a likely higher-than-normal return rate, which as you said before would likely show up in Q1. Or do you think everyone is just looking past this now with the recent positive new product and corporate announcements. My guess is that they will show a double amount of return rate (I was interested to see that if you look at their past financials, there is usually about 5% or so allocated to this anyways, so just a fact of life for electronic toys I think), which will have a measurable impact on the Q earnings but not a large impact.
