I'm looking for the top 3 sectors to buy into today.

Q: Good day 5i.
The only US position I now hold in my RRSP is ZWH.
I like this ETF, just leave it alone and let it spit money out.
I'm looking for another US ETF that will fit nicely with ZWH and t pays monthly. The new ETF position would be half the size of ZWH if that helps.

Q: Your thoughts on ARX. I have had it a while as it dropped and am now looking at an exit point. It is up recently, but I would have thought there was a lot of tax loss selling pressure.

Q: I am wondering what is the reason CPD is at a lower level than the financial crisis of 2008. I am at a loss on it for a few years now and wondering if holding another year or two makes any sense.

Q: My fixed income PF % consist of CVD 1.85; XHY 2.10; CBO 1.87; CPD 1.81; and XTR 1.69 totalling 9.22.
Which one or two can I add to bring my total to 15%.

Q: I have a question about PVF.UN I was considering BAM for purchase but came across PVF and am thinking that this may be a good alternative. Maybe safer and has much bigger dividend and better track record. I would appreciate your thoughts. Thx James

I sold some MX stock for tax loss purposes. I would like to know if you still consider the company as a reliable one and if you recommend buying back the stock in the hope that it will do better in 2020.
What drives the price of methanol? Is the price down due to China/ Us trade war or it is because of China and Canada tension? Is the stock tied to oil demand and price?
Do you see the price moving in an upward trend in 2020 with their 6 year gas supply deal with Chile operations?
Based on your analysis, what is your overall view on MX?

Any update on Wallbridge ( Wm)? They have had more good drill results recently and this morning announced that KL bought 9.9% of the recent private placement in addition to the Quebec pension plan. Also the CEO of Kirkland has been appointed to the Board. The stock has been acting fantastic and Eric Sprott is certainly excited about recent results. Is this perhaps becoming another KL?

Q: I'd like you to comment on a change in the banks recently as per Money talks

in short... end of July saw all 5 banks reporting quite well with Loan Loss Provisions (LLP) as expected if not maybe a little low.

Now this past week all five appear to have seen significant turns.

CIBC saw their profit dip 6% which is really unheard of. Plus, they increased the Provisions for Loan Losses (PLL) by 52%. TD earnings slipped 4% with a PLL increase of 35%. And Royal Bank president Dave McKay said "based on what we're seeing today the next couple of years are likely to be challenging." RBC Provisions for loan losses jumped up by 41%.

I read somewhere else where it was said these increases in funding for loan loss preparation is an indication the banks are "down turn ready." Is this the canary in coal mine?

With all the recent growth in the markets, is this something we should be concerned about? I think this could be a very significant story-line moving forward for investors.

Q: Seth Klarman has said that the greatest advantage an individual investor has is the abilty to have a long-term perspective. With that in mind, several years ago I had assembled a core 20/20 portfolio- 20 stocks for 20 years. They consist of:
CDA: TD, BNS, BCE, ATD.B, BAM.A, CSU, CGI, FTS, ENB, CN RAIL
USA: APPLE, GOOGL, AMAZON, VISA, BRK.B, MCD.

I also hold smaller quantities of utilities ( AQN, EMA, BIP.UN), small growth mutual fund (mawer global small cap) and reits for diversification. Can you help me complete my core 20/20 by suggesting 4-6 US DIVIDEND GROWTH STOCKS and perhaps 2 Canadian holdings that I should add or replace. Appreciate your excellent service as always.

Is VEQT (100% equity) a growth ETF? (where can one find this information) Comparing VEQT with VGRO (80/20 equity/bond mix) can we say that VEQT has more potential for growth in long term (and more risk)? If Is VEQT is not a growth ETF is there a growth ETF that is 100% equity? Would you suggest any better alternative than both VEQT and VGRO?
