And again will there be an IPO Offering and how will one know ?

Jeff

Q: My Canadian dividend portfolio lacks exposure to materials. I currently hold CCL.B and was considering adding one position in SJ, NTR, or BOS. My goal is owning a good business at a sound valuation with prospects of dividend growth for at a long term. I consider the companies the best in the Canadian universer of stocks when it comes to materials. I am leaning towards NTR, but I am hesitant because I try not to invest in businesses that are very sensitive to commodities prices. Can you comment on these companies, their management, risks, and outlook? What do you think is the best option among the three?
Q: Hey guys, I have owned DPM, GCM, and SVM for a few years. The 3 stocks account for about 4% of my total portfolio. I currently have roughly 8% total in the materials sector(AEM 4%). keep holding these 3 or consolidate into 1 of the 3 or is there a better stock to play the sector?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Q: You have the choice to invest in one of these companies. Which one do you choose and why?
Q: Which type of account would you buy WELL for? Would you considered this stock okay for a senior that does not need income for 6 years?

Canadian Tire Corporation Limited Class A Non-Voting Shares (CTC.A $169.19)
-
Leon's Furniture Limited (LNF $29.89)
Q: Hi Peter and Staff
At the time you added Leons to your income portfolio you obviously liked it "better" than Canadian Tire......I am not sure if it was because of the higher dividend. Looking at current price and possible recovery in price as well as dividend, how much better do you like one than the other and would you switch Canadian Tire for Leons looking at combined returns of dividends and stock price gains.
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Hi there,
Can you tell me your top 8 names for stock price appreciation in ranking order for long term holds? Would it be possible to provide a list of 8 without any sector influence and 8 within the context of a basket?
Thanks!

Is there any action that I should take?
Thank you.

Q: Hi,
MAL just announced a share repurchase program. Given the present environment, especially the end customers for most of their products are airlines, is this wise move? Do they have the balance sheet strength for this?
I know the share price has taken a beating this year but seems odd timing for this.
What would be your current rating for the stock (Sell, Hold, Buy)?
Thanks,
Dan

Q: Good morning.
AD is having a strong rally this morning. What are your thoughts about it as a post-COVID resurgent play? Is the dividend sustainable?
Many thanks for your superior analysis.

Q: Why is Alaris up so much today?
Q: Assuming the takeover deal for Cineplex does NOT go through, what do you expect will happen to the stock price? Go lower on the disappointing news? Go higher due to less uncertainty? Stay where it is, assuming the deal's failure is already "priced in"? What would you advice shareholders to do? Thanks in advance.
Q: Hello Peter,
One of your fellow FP columnists suggests that the valuation gap between expensive (e.g., tech/growth) and cheaper stocks has never been greater. So while growth managers have been doing well, their upside may be limited. And value managers, while their patience continues to be tested, may have their day (soon). For those of us putting new money into the markets, your views on the above are appreciated. (I’m reminded of the dot.com boom when a start-up called 724 Solutions was, within days of its IPO, worth more than Bank of Montreal. I chose instead Edperbrascan, which was so out of fashion as an ‘old’ company that it yielded 6%. This of course became the best investment of my life, as it is now BAM!)
Thanks!

Q: Michael Burry was reported to be buying some of the company. That could be part of the reason for the rise.
Q: Hi
Box has been a big disappointment for long time now. Today it popped up probably due to upgrade from analyst. What is your opinion - Sell and move on before earnings or hold?
Thanks
