Q: EQB's earnings were surprisingly bad. I expected maybe not great after seeing NA report, but its worse than that. Deposit growth is way below the projections they gave a few years ago, which never came to fruition. Customer growth is lagging and the loan book continues to deteriorate. They seem to be trying to smooth the impact with a big 17% div raise. But this is starting to be consecutive quarters or bad news. Thoughts?

Q: This relates to response made on Royal Bank on Aug. 8th, person had 25% on there holding, advise was to not keep a single bank stock over 8% in a portfolio. I own it as well, makes up just over 13% if my portfolio, ive owned it long enough my dividend is almost 7.5%, I know you don't give personal advise, I see no reason to sell any, but might I be better selling some and looking at another bank maybe TD, I do own BNS in another account, it's just over 8% of.that portfolio.

Q: I would like to increase my international exposure to the stock market. Can you suggest some ETFs that meet that criteria. Moderate risk level.

I have seen VXUS recommended a lot, so I am considering that. Just want to have 2 more choices so I can compare before buying one of them.

Q: Good morning.

I have a sizeable amount of US dollars in my TFSA and RRIF accounts and intend to add international investments with that money. I can either just purchase the XEF.u with the US money or go thru the Norbert Gambit process to convert to canadian dollars and then buy the XEF ETF. My question is which would you recommend and also buying XEF.u in my TFSA which I believe is a Canadian listed ETF would there be a 15% US withholding tax on the dividends.

Many thanks.

Q: With interest rates potentially going lower in the US I was wondering about your crystal ball thoughts on where this ETF might peak this cycle ? I bought in when it cratered a couple years ago.
