Q: For a dividend paying portfolio I am looking at : CTC. A SLF, GC, GSY, VET, PBH, BNS, SIS, BCI AND CGX.
Would you be comfortable with these shares or any of particular concern? Any others you would prefer?

Is it time to back up the truck on Savaria? I think the market has over done the downside. Any reason why Andrew Peller is down from its peak? The company seems to be doing well. Please comment on both. Thank you.

Q: Would like to ask a question about your tax loss selling list on the home page. Great document, but could you confirm where you got the expected Revenue Growth from. How can you predict Revenue from oil and gas stock when the commodity price is so uncertain. That would hold for the majority of the stocks in the list.

Q: HI there: I am still in comfortable profit margin from investments in the three stocks above. I wonder what you think about taking profits (now 20 % lower for Apple) now and holding some money on the side, or is buying on this dip a good idea. Especially re Apple.

Q: I Have held Knight Therapeutics (GUD.TO) in my Granddaughter's trust account for a number of years, but sold today with the jump in price for a small profit. I'M am now looking for a stock in the Health Care sector to replace it, preferably one that pays a dividend.
Would you be comfortable with Savaria (SIS.TO) for a 3-4 year hold? Could you recommend one or two others? Many thanks

Q: my question is as follows, every analyst and pundit i follow says this market downturn will not end until we have a massive flushout day where sellers are exhausted on huge volume with the vix at 30 or so, this has not happened yet so why do you tell members to buy anything, why not just tell them to wait.furthermore going back until 1940 no downturn has ever ended without this flush out.
second question, and i asked this before your five favorites stocks for the next year, i think you had largo, gc, i get these 2 and you had covalon, i was surprised with covalon, do you know something we do not, also could you add 2 more if possible.
and last question oil is so beaten up it seems like it is the ultimate value play, no new capacity, opec might cut ,refineries coming out of maintenance, winter is upon us,so why so negative, i own bte and bir, based on the fact oiland gas has to go higher, and the stocks are priced like oil is 25 bucks.your opinion. take 3credits thanks dave

Q: 5i does a great job of alerting us to stocks good for buying. But I am wondering if you view it as also within your sphere to alert us when to sell (selling suggestions seem to come only after a problem and a large drop in stock price). For example, when a high-beta stock is at an all-time high maybe it's time to sell (or is the idea that you sell only enough to re-balance). But I have ringing in my ears from lots of sources "let your winners run". But it's hard to see a winner go up +70% over a year only to see it drop 80% in a few days (estimating here). I guess the game plan is if nothing fundamentally changed the stock will eventually recover the drop and then some.

Q: Thx for the quick response. Further to my question....do Why you agree w/ whoever downgraded SQ? What was the reason for the downgrade? And are you still confident in the upside of SHOP & SQ? If so, would you be a buyer today of both SHOP & SQ.
