Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Sir: I reviewing your recommended portfolios, I find that many of your A and B rated stocks have largely underperformed or lost money outright YTD, some by over 20%… is this a strange year or are you reconsidering your methodology going forward? Please consider this constructive and not critical of you service..

Q: Trex has declined significantly since March of 2024. I had purchased some stock just before the precipitous decline at the beginning of November this year and am now down about 50% on 1/2 a position.

This creates a question; is the stock now dead money until the US consumer economy sorts itself out (which I think is a few years away at least), or is this a buying opportunity today to fill the remainder of a position and wait it out?

Trex is a leader in its' market, yet requires new home and renovation build out to successful. The precipitous drop has now brought it to analysts attention as they try to resolve questions similar to my own.

Would you be a buyer, and if so with what time frame in mind, or would you sell and come back to it in a few years?

Thanks as always, and best of the season to you all!

Q: Your thoughts on the below is much appreciated.

I understand Salesforce developed its own autonomous AI agent - Agentforce - I heard one 'expert' describe that this is special because the quality of the AI agent is determined by the quality of 'training data' the agent is fed. Salesforce apparently had unique data sets, their agent is working and their profit is now rising. Mark Leonard (CSU) during his webcast (few months ago) to discuss AI and the CSU business family - described their depth and understanding of thousands of businesses is not easily replicated....

I seems to me that LMN is well suited to take similar advantage. Your thoughts please.

Thanks again for your thoughtful replies.

Q: I hold these companies in the Energy Sector. Both TVE and WCP have had a great run over the last quarter. Would you stick with these two names or would you be trimming profits?

Thanks

Q: NDVA's price as of today $181.46
NCDA's fair value given by Morningstar $191.38
Given NVDA's incredible run in the past few years, I have a hard time wrapping my brain about the idea that NVDA is actually "cheaper" than its fair value.
Would you add to NVDA at this point?
I have a significant position in NVDA already so I am very invested.

Q: Hello, Can you please share your thought on below scenario. LMN/PRL are my favorite. if you have any comments or suggestions please let me know

1. is it too late to sell LMN for Tax loss selling? take some loss for the tax? and switch to PRL ?and buy back after 30days?

2 just sell 50% of LMN? and switch to PRL ? and buy back after 30days?

3.do not go into switching game. just stay with investment

Thank you!

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

This is a political/economics question. What are the chances of the new pipeline being built? As I understand, no company has expressed real interest yet. I also read that Enbridge has excess capacity, and that they're willing to utilize it.

In any event, is there anyone who, in the short term, will benefit from this uncertainty?

Thanks as always for your insight.
