ZIC - 4% loss -6%
BCE - 2%, loss -19%

Would you recommend trimming any of the above?

Q: Good Morning,
I am considering adding this preferred share ETF for tax efficient income returns and to potentially cushion the portfolio a bit if (when) there is a downturn in equity markets. I do not hold any other fixed income. How will preferred shares perform in a downturn assuming interest rates may go up for a year or 2 more and then back down during a economic slowdown.

Q: I sold BDI at a sizable loss years ago and fully appreciate how extremely cyclical this companies earnings are, for good or bad. Waiting patiently for an opportunity to catch a high beta cyclical upswing in the companies earnings. Can you advice as to how to approach this investment thesis? Start building a position now even thought its early or wait till there is clearly an upswing in earnings while trying to avoid false starts? I cant help but think that after years of terrible government policy there is blood in the streets now.

There are many "private" construction deals available but there are very few tools to help the average Joe separate the wheat from the chaff?

Please provide mi with possible replacement my Canadian selection
with similar US stocks.
I have already In my US portfolio : TSG,ADBE,SHOP,AMZN,NVDA,SQ,NFLX,MA.
