Q: I hold the above stocks in my RRIF and plan on transferring 'in kind' one of the stocks into my non registered account. Which one do you consider most appropriate and why?

Q: Hi 5i team:
from CNQ I received some shares of PSK. I noticed that analysts have it as a "hold" mostly, what is your opinion should I keep them ?, I am underinvested in energy, so a would not mind to keep them, but if risk is high I would prefer to sell them and buy something more predictable. Thanks !!!

COR, JPM, SIMO, SBUX, QCOM, NDAQ, EBIX, AMZN, ITRI, IWO, PI, NVDA, ARLZ (NASDAQ, NYSE)

Looking out to 2017 do you still feel favorably about these stocks?

If not which ones you cull?

Also, are there any US stocks you would add to this list, whose growth prospects you really like over the next year or two?

Q: No question today. Just wanted to thank Peter, Ryan and the entire 5i staff the best of the season and all the best for 2017. The support you have given to me this past year has been invaluable, and I assure you, much appreciated! As a retired teacher, I think all public school students should be exposed to your service before they graduate from high school. Not sure how this could be achieved, just know it has huge potential to improve their lives. Just a thought.

Q: long term obviously looks very good .I hear talk of gud setting things up for solid purchases and takeovers . shorts are starting to come into this stock. shorts have made a ton of money in this sector why not try and take this one to its knees . do you think the shorters that are moving in are the same as pli. cxr or .....gud has no debt good management your thought thank you.

Q: Hello Team,
For US mid cap exposure, do you prefer IJH or XMC. The Canadian ETF appears to be have a market cap of only 38 Million. Is that a liquidity concern? Any other thoughts you have would be appreciated.

Q: ZQQ-T (BMO Nasdaq 100 hedged) and XQQ-T (BMO Nasdaq 100 hedged) appears to contain the same tech companies in the same proportion. What difference do you see between the two ? What would be the equivalents on the U.S. market and is it better to buy this type of etf on the Cdian market (hedged) or directly on the U.S. Market ?

Q: I'm 56 years old with no fixed income and have been quite comfortable with this choice up until now. I recently have decided to have 5% in fixed income but have no knowledge on bonds. I have a balanced portfolio of stocks and try and hold 5% in cash to take advantage of good stocks in a down market. I was thinking of VAB and a 5 year GIC for fixed income. What are your thoughts and recommendations. Have a wonderful holiday to all at 5i and your families. Merry Christmas!

Q: If a fella was overweight tech and underweight financials - I own a 6% position in BNS and a 2.5% in ECN, would a sell of GOOGL and a purchase of JPM make sense?
