Q: You previously suggested that IWO-- which is an ETF that holds small-cap U.S. securities with a "growth" tilt-- would be suitable to hold within an RSP. What about a portfolio that also holds VSS, which is the Vanguard FTSE All World Ex-US Small-Cap ETF-- would this also be suitable to hold within an RSP? or is there a similar type of ETF (ex-US small-cap) that is more suitable to hold within an RSP? (The goal here is to hold two complementary small-cap ETFs that trade in U.S. dollars within an RSP, one that focuses on U.S. stocks, the other on non-U.S. international small-cap companies.)

Q: Hi there, I currently have a full position in KL and have been extremely happy with your recommendation! I'm looking to add a few smaller names that might have potential to be the next KL. What are your top 5 names in ranking order from best to last, with potential that I could use to build a good basket of smaller cap gold names than KL? Thank you!

Q: Hi,
Having held some cash aside, waiting for a pullback - I am now wondering which companies I should focus on purchasing first during the downturn? Obviously I am looking for those that are good, solid companies with growth potential. Dividends is nice feature, but not a requirement if the future prospects for the company are strong and debt is low or non existent. I do not currently have any REITs and only AQN in utilities, ENB in energy as I lean towards growth more than income and usually overweight in stronger sectors and industries. Please provide some suggestions, US or Cdn, that have caught your interest recently, as I always value your suggestions.

Q: Have owned these for a very long time.Haven't done too bad just looking to maybe change things up.What's your opinion on these ones?Also can you offer a couple of ideas to replace these two.

Q: Hello all,
My portfolio is largely based on your balanced portfolio with some stocks from your growth portfolio. I'm reviewing asset allocation in my portfolio and recognize that some stocks represent too much of my portfolio e.g., GSY which is currently almost 22% and is now a 4 bagger for me. I've always let winners run, but I recognize that this increases my risk. I've seen, in the past, that you typically do sell stocks to reduce allocation to a certain level. Is this a strict rule you follow or do you ever let a stock go until there's a concrete reason to sell it? Thank you as always for your great service.
