Q: I would like to add a REIT to my portfolio and of the 3 that I have considered: MST.UN, MRG.UN and IIP.UN I am leaning towards MST.UN based on growths in dividend yield and share price. Do you support my pick? Or you have reasons to believe that one of the other two are in fact better choices.
Your help is much appreciated.

Q: I am relatively new at handling my own portfolio and am cautious by nature.
My Peller shares are up 60% since I bought them and I have seen no media coverage
which would explain this. Would you think this might be a good time to take my profit, or are you aware of any reason I might want to hang on?

Q: Re; my question what is the stock market : As I lay awake in the wee small hours, it came to me that the stock market is a record of sales of stocks listed by and sold through that market, a tally, so to speak, and weight in the market means what percentage of the stocks in that list we collectively hold of any particular stock or class of stocks. Hoping this is less clueless than my question! ( Chose whether or not you think there's any point in publishing)
Prior question.: I was made rudely aware that I don't know something I assume everyone else does. What exactly does market weight mean? Who "holds" the stock market holdings and where and how are they held? I guess the question is what, exactly IS the market? Sorry for what is probably a lame question.

Q: I bought about a 2% position a month ago at around $24, intending to buy more but never did, as it kept climbing (not a bad thing, of course). What is your opinion of their announcement a couple days ago, and if there should be any effect on the stock price? How sustainable is the dividend? My original plan was to have about a 3-3.5% position; would you suggest increasing to this level at current prices (this stock is held mainly for income)?
Q: I am 66 and only have blue chip Canadian dividend stocks for my self created pension [non-sheltered]. What do you think about getting into annuities [ out of stocks, gradually ] every 5 years? Annuities have a most high ROC this year. I understand the ROC rules change next year. I have no fixed income investments at all. Thanks.

Q: Can I have your opinion on DR? The basics seem reasonable but it is a very small company, so I'm thinking of a half position just to get a toe in.
Q: Good Day
Lots of news on NWH.UN-T:
There is a bought deal of 7mln shares at $9.20. The deal closes April 20,16;
The CEO has added $4.2mln lately to his position including another 23,000 units @$9.64 per unit.
Are the units a buy at $9.20 or should I wait until after April 20?
Thanks

Q: Am I correct in understanding that the dividend is paid in US$, even if the shares were purchased and are held in my account in Canadian $
Q: Hi Guys,

Thanks
John

Q: Hello. Can you please share your top 2 picks in the Utilities (electric) and Forest and Wood sectors for 3-5 year holds? Thanks!
Q: Pls advise me as to sell or keep for future growth. The stock is languishing and I have a decent profit. Thank you Phyl
Q: May I have your assessment of ITG? Have you used their services?Do you see this stock as a buy?
Thanks, Tim.
Thanks, Tim.
Q: A hold a small position in CBO. Last week in the Globe John Heinzl discussed CBO's return of capital as part of its distribution or yield. He stated that an investor holding CBO gets a fatter distribution now that will be partially offset by a capital loss such that the investor's net return will be approximately the yield-to-maturity of the bonds less the fund's expenses. I didn't realize that CBO returned capital and now I am wondering whether I should be holding this ETF or not. I hold little fixed income in my portfolio currently but receive a defined benefit pension. Would you care to comment on CBO? Is there another CDN bond ETF that you would recommend instead? Thanks for all you do!!
Q: Any thoughts on this co? . Thanks Alnoor
Q: I have done pretty well with BEP.UN but am wondering how sustainable it is at this price. With a yield of 5.96% and according to my BMO Investorline a P/E ratio of 3929. Has it just been rising on the strength of 'Renewable Energy' in its name? Thks for yr valuable insight as always.
Q: May I please have a current opinion on ISV? I checked the Q&A section and it has been a couple of months since your last view was published. The dividend looks very attractive. Thank you again for your excellent service.
Q: Would a switch from Trimac TMA to Gamehost GM make any sense? - are they equally risky? Or should one hold either? Thanks Jim
Q: Hi 5i:
Your last comment on Endo (ENL, ENDP.US) was Feb 29th and at that point you thought that it was unduly beaten down by the market given the company’s recent performance and outlook. That was when it was over $40 US. Now that it is under $30 US, what do you make of it? Is it worth continuing to hold or have fundamentals deteriorated to the point where alternative holdings in the same space look much better? How does it stack up on a comparison with CXR? Thanks!

Q: I have held this stock , and find it frustrating to hold any longer. Is there hope for an increase in value within sight. Thank you Phyl
