Q: You continue to comment favorably about this company but they never make money. Latest quarter was a loss of $2.7m - up from $1.5m a year ago. Why do you never mention this? If you take out Goodwill and Intangible assets the equity is a negative $144m. I know you will say a lot of this is because of acquistions but if they can not make those turn a profit why do you give them such good ratings an commentary?

Thanks!

Q: I hate when people ask questions like this, but, sigh, here I go. Always a 1st time:
KEYS: Long-time Hold. Why -6.34% yesterday? BeerVirus?
As always, thank you.

Q: Hello,
I have a full position of Disney in my investement account..I am down about 10% I had bought this for the long term..but I am wondering if I should sell it for a capital loss and perhaps come back later. Or should I wait for results..Can you tell me when they report..I was also thinking that the Coronavirus wouldn't go too well for disney but disney ++ will be good...Thanks.

Q: Unfortunately I was not able to get out of Medial Facilities so I am holding at a large loss and hoping for a recovery. I see that they recently sold one of their facilities. Is this this facility that has been causing them their problems? Do you think this improves the outlook? Thanks, great job.

Q: I would appreciate your opinion of the two ETF's above. They seem to be doing very well, but not a large Market Cap for an ETF, and very small average volume. I am looking for an Emerging Markets ETF with monthly income, and good returns. FDE fits the bill, but I am not sure about the volume and Market Cap. I would appreciate your insight. Thanks for your help.
Q: Hello Team 5i I am underweight asian holdings and the current corona virus event may present buying opportunity. I hold VIGI but I am looking to track some ETF's that might be worth picking up(or perhaps just adding to VIGI ?)...Best Regards. Gary

Q: My wife has this mutual fund with a 2% MER, very little growth and a small dividend. Would you kindly suggest a couple of replacements (ETF or Index fund or Mutual fund) with a similar risk level and sector coverage but without the high MER.
Many thanks

Q: For a 10% of my portfolio:
Which one would you prefer? Or do you think a basket your favorite Gold/Material companies is better than these ETFs? Example: FNV,AEM,KL, plus add a few others that come up often in your answers.

Q: In the Macro economy numbers you publish, is the Canada GDP Growth Rate including inflation? In other words, is that a nominal growth rate or a real growth rate?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: What ratios do you rely on to assess whether a US REIT is fairly valued. Please give some heuristics that you have found generally reliable. I am looking for at least some specificity, for example:
Price to FCF should be less than .....
Price to BITDA should be less than .....
Debt should be .....
Interest cover should be ............
and so on (please do add, thanks)

Q: I have 2 REITS in my RRIF, CAR.UN and CSH.UN. Both have been held for many years. CSH.UN considerably underperforms and I have decided to sell. What could I look at as a replacement in real estate space or just add to AW.UN. Thoughts please. Regards, Ted
Q: I received a nice payment yesterday from the Amaya litigation. In a non-registered account, would this be regarded as a capital gain?

Q: In addition to my growth stocks (40% of my CDN portfolio), I have 'safe stocks' RY, T, ACQ, BIP.un in Canada and in US, I have AQN, AEP, NEE. (about 20% in US portfolio, so far). I notice that in the last year, these lo beta, ‘safe’ stocks have been performing as well as growth stocks. Because I think we’re in for more volatility, I’m interested in buying more lo-beta-with-some-growth stocks for the next few years. What do you think of these options complementing what I have? Can you pick two?

Q: I hold the following in my balanced equity type portfolio and they all represent less than a half position, either because they have dropped or because they have not kept up with the rest of the portfolio. I have enough new money to top up 4 or 5 of them to their original weightings. Which would you top up at this point and which would you simply let go?
Q: Please comment on Covalon's Earnings Release today and if you think this could be a catalyst for the stock to move up.
