I know you don't like to predict and set price targets. But with VRT/NVDA on a tear, surely one has to have a floor and a ceiling price target? I know they are your high conviction long term favorites.
I ask this question with a specific trade strategy on mind. Take a position with say 200 shares. Write a call, just one contract each. Even if one gets called away, I will have the other 100 shares to capture the price appreciation.
Any words of wisdom on this strategy? Price targets?
Q: Hi team ,
Clbt has really jumped from the $17 up to the $20 level just in the last couple days . Do you feel if a person wanted to buy some shares we should now wait for a pullback day ? Or do you feel it might just keep going higher? Was there any news that would explain the big jump in the last few days?
Q: Good afternoon 5i team,
Following MDI's acquisition of all shares of Explomin Perforacio, lately, will this add to their bottom line, will the synergies be well viewed by the market? MDI is "cheap" and this acquisition does not seem to be much of a catalyst as viewed by the market! Should I move on and would you view a similar company as a better option?
Many thanks,
Jean
Q: Greetings 5i,
Are dividends from this ETF eligible for the CDN dividend tax credit?
I have flipped through the prospectus and other available reading material on the ishares website and can't find the answer to this seemingly simple question.
Thank you as always

Could I get your thoughts on REAL's latest quarter? Also do you think there is any credibility to the "pent up demand" referenced in their 2025 outlook?
Q: Alphabet is down on the news that they might be forced to sell chrome. IF this were to happen is it necessarily bad?
Companies like CSU and BAM have benefited by spinning off divisions. Could Alphabet also benefit by selling Chrome?
Or if the sale doesn’t take place would the stock likely start moving back up again….. hence making this a good time to add to it given a decent risk / reward scenario?
Q: Is Russia restricting (or banning) exports of enriched uranium to NATO countries? Do you know if Kazakhstan is also restricting exports since they are the world's top exporter and a client state of Russia. Russia produces uranium at roughly 10% of the amount produced by Kazakhstan. I understand CCO purchases uranium from Kazakhstan. Is this a good time to purchase CCO or would you wait until Trump enters the White House? If Trump accedes to Putin's demands possibly the uranium restrictions would be lifted leading to weakness in CCO's stock? I do find it hard to imagine NATO countries returning to their pre-war acceptance of Russia and its exports in spite of any Trump Putin peace deal. Any thoughts you have would be appreciated.
Regards,
Jim
Q: As I am retiring, I am thinking about allocating a certain portion (25%) to long real return bonds. Right now, they go for approximately 2% over inflation.
What are the downsides of real return bonds?
Also, there a floor, meaning that in deflation is it possible to end up owing them money?
Q: Microstrategy was the heaviest traded stock by dollar volume in the US a few days ago. As bitcoin goes up, they are issuing convertible notes at zero coupon and buying exponentially more bitcoin. Can this continue? Is this company a long term hold or too much of a meme stock now?
Q: Alphabet is one of my larger holdings, but I am getting somewhat frustrated with it. I'm assuming it's down 4% today because the DOJ wants it to sell Chrome. The incoming Republicans have never really liked Alphabet either. Although it's considered cheaper than the rest of the Mag7, is this a value trap?
Crnc is up by 120% at the time of writing this today. Would this be a good time to average down on this long-term dog? Or should we wait for the dust to settle.
Would it come done or would it keep going for a while longer?
