5i Research Answer:

GVAL is $208M in assets, fees 0.64%, yield 6.95%, one year 28.76%, five year 13.49%. It has outperformed PID on on year but lagged 1.31% on five year performance. PID has a lower yield. They are different in focus (value vs dividends) and very different in allocation (PID is 51% Canada right now, GVAL's highest country allocations are Singapore (9%) and Poland (9%) and Columbia (9%). Both have their attractive features but if one is focused on dividends we would side with PID, providing the high Canada exposure is not an issue.
