Q: Hello Peter/5I Research
Please give me your 5 top large US company that has the most potential for growth with no other consideration.
Thank for your excellent service and advice.
Claudio
I'm putting money towards my TFSA (10K) and was wondering what you think would be the best way to invest it. I was considering starting with 5 stocks: PBH, SIS, CSU, KXS, TOY. My second thought was choosing 2-3 of those stocks and adding in ETF's. Thirdly, I was thinking to invest investing fully into ETF's. I would say that I'm in between balanced and growth in terms of risk.
What are your thoughts? And if the ETF route, which would you recommend?
Q: Hi, Desjardins came out with a $11.00 price target on CRIUS and a buy rating. That's almost a 49% increase and ad to that the 11% dividend. In your vu based on the latest financials, is this a realistic price target. Also, would a rate increase by the Bank of Canada on the 18th of April put more pressure on Crius's stock price.
Thank You.
I just started using your relatively new "Companies" feature (https://www.5iresearch.ca/company/nasdaq/AAPL). I can't believe how AWESOME it is and has become a go to resource for researching companies: key metrics, earnings estimates, analyst ratings, insiders trades, and news items! I thought it would be something that was exclusive to members, but it seems to be available for everyone?
Q: Hi 5 i team, it seems that price movement is not related to quarterly earning as compared to previous but is affected by result as compared to estimate. Is there any way of guessing whether earning will beat or less than estimate prior to announcement ?
Q: can you please tell me what the correlation between the price of crude and this pipeline because oil goes up and ppl goes down or does the price of oil have no bearing at all
Q: I know its hard to compare these companies but do you have a preference between Banco Santander, Lloyds or Fiera Capital? Focus on value and dividend growth for a long term investor.
Q: I have SPY and VIG and VUN for the US markets
I also have some US mutual funds which I intend to liquidate sometime in the next 12-18 months
Could you give me an opinion in general about the US market ?
since Jan there has been a pull back, Don Vialoux a few months ago hinted that
there could be pull back in the next few months
thanks
Michael
Q: Good day,
If I have money in a US stock in a US TFSA account, sell the stock and move it to a CAD stock TFSA account ( same banking institution) or visa versa , is there any issues with over contribution? I am with TD if that is relevant.
Thanks,
Paul
Q: I currently don't have any REIT exposure and think I should focus on a broad ETF for more safety and diversification as opposed to some of the smaller cap REIT's I have previously held although they do have much higher yields I am concerned about the risk exposure. Would this be a good time to start a position in ZRE and/or do you have another suggestion?
Thanks,
Craig
Q: In a follow up to your XHY answer yesterday which I am interested in adding, would ZHY be a suitable replacement for that ticker? Why might now be a good time to add bonds to my portfolio? I currently have no exposure as well.
Thanks!
Craig
Q: Hi, Can you give me a couple of suggestions for an Asian mutual fund or ETF, ex Japan, available in Canadian dollars? I'm definitely not adverse to a mutual fund.
