Q: With the Coastal Gas Link pipeline getting close to completion. Which energy companies would be prime beneficiaries?
On a related energy question, when is the Trans Mountain pipeline expected to be completed and are there any energy companies who stand to benefit the most? Will this pipeline help close the gap in price with WTI?
Q: Peter. I am thinking about taking a loss in tve and putting half in fru and half in birchcliff. This will double my dividend. Your thoughts please Ken
Q: Hi Peter and Team
I still hold AQN in a LIF account and would like to replace it with something that pays a decent dividend and will in time recover the more than 40% loss. What do you think of GEI, BEP.un, BIR, TD, or BAM as a replacement? Please rank order. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Obviously no regard to sector.
Thanks for your guidance, Gary
Q: I have owned CJ since July 2022, its SP has been very much flat during that period. I do have a bit of cash sitting on the sideline and I wonder if I should top up a bit more on CJ, or just cash out and move onto another name.
Patience may be virtue in investing but there are other more lucrative returns out there. What's your take on CJ in the next 12 months or so? Thanks.
Q: If we were to see a recovery in the price of natural gas, what companies would have the most upside potential from their current price?
Of the names listed, as of today, would you consider them a buy, sell, or hold and why? Thank you for your insight.
Q: I am looking at our future LNG prospects and intend on increasing my positions in TOU, ARX and BIR. Can you firstly comment on this strategy for a long term play and secondly evaluate each company on its merits. Is there a company that would be a better choice.
Please deduct as many questions as you determine,
Q: what forward price assumptions for natural gas and oil has BIR used in order to maintain the .80 cent annual dividend? what is the current price for oil and natural gas? what is the 12 month high and low for oil and natural gas? what is the payout ratio? thanks Richard
Q: what is level of insider ownership? is BIR currently buying back shares? when is BIR expected to be debt free? could BIR be a take over candidate? is the current dividend well protected? lastly what are the risks now to buy BIR? thanks Richard
Q: Would you initiate an investment of BIR at the current share price? Is its dividend safe? How would you rank BIR against two other small high yield O&G companies - PHX and CJ in terms of likely combined return over the next two years? Thanks.
Q: BIR shows a div payment of 20 cents per qtr for a current yield north of 9 percent. what is the revenue assumption made by the company in order to maintain 80 cents per year? what the payout ratio based on an annual div of 80 cents? with little debt on the books do you consider BIR a good investment for investors seeking reliable future income thanks Richard
