1- I am planning on selling FLT (per your recommendation) from a previous question. Which stock would you purchase from the growth portfolio to put the cash right back at work?
2- Thinking of also selling T and adding some to VCE and the rest to buy another name from the growth portfolio. Would you be comfortable with this? Seeing that the bulk of my portfolio are in large blended ETF's. If so, which name would you buy?
3- Debating if I should keep SPOT. Initial bought it for a 5 year hold. What are your thoughts on selling and adding to VTI or maybe buy a low volatility US ETF? Or any other thoughts?
Please deduct as many credits needed. I have plenty to spare :)
Other than XUS (15%) I really do not have much exposure to US Stocks. Would you please recommend a few US stocks or Sector based ETFs to invest about 10% of new cash. I have a few options based on Mad Money and Market Call. Any preferences of the stocks I've listed or other ETF suggestions would be helpful. My horizon is for 5+ years.
Q: Hi gang
What are your thoughts on Amarin today? Any news in the last month or two? It's quite interesting to me on a personal level but as a stock I am on hold for now but may dabble depending on your answer. I can handle some risk.
Thanks as always for all you do.
Q: Hi there,
i inherited this preferred and it is trading at a significant discount to other MS preferreds. It is difficult to wade through the online information to compare the features of this preferred versus others all paying a higher dividend. CAn you clarify why this one might be trading at such a discount.
Would you place a company like Zoetis in a RRSP or TFSA and are you aware of any canadian companies in Canada that would be similar and if you could plse rate them?
Q: May I please have your comments on their earnings release? Looks like it’s down after hours based on their forward looking guidance. I bought it today right before close hoping for a pop and am wondering whether to hold as it looks like it will be opening lower.
Q: I hold UNH in my US RRSP and RESP portfolios. With the recent decline and being in battleground with the democrates Medicare bill is it worth holding in these portfolios or is there a better US health care option out there? Considering there will be a lot of election noise later in the year.
Could you provide a short comparison of these 3 companies, how they overlap and differ?
If one has investments in SHOP and SQ would they "supersede" Lightspeed, or could they compliment? When does Lighspeed start trading?
From my preliminary research Lightspeed appears to be a combination of both SQ and SHOP where they provide POS payment systems with the ability to create a webstore (but seem more focused on brick and mortar vs. Shopify being more online)
Q: I recently sold some Apple shares and want to invest about 10,000.00 in the US market. Stan Wong on BNN was quite high on ARKK. What are your thoughts?
Thanks, Lesley
Q: What is your opinion of this company? I feel like with social trends moving in the direction of "pets are more a part of the family" that people are willing to do what they can for their fur babies. Also with the trend of more meat and other live stock increasing in the diets around the world do you see this company as a good long term hold with the stock price increasing?
Thanks
Q: I own 5 I income stocks that more than cover my expenses in retirement and hold about 75% of the balanced portfolio. But, I have msft, mu, fdx and nvda in u.s exposure and am thinking of using zlu to complete the u.s. ...would you endorse this strategy or use something else ...thanks for the great service...gene
Q: I have been looking at CVS in the last few days as a long term hold, the dividend is quite attractive. The share price has dropped to what looks like a 5 year low, the Forward PE is at 8.6. How would you evaluate the long term prospects of CVS? Could the large merger it has gone through make future dividend increases doubtful?
