Q: There are some really beaten down stocks that have been known as "blue chip" investments over the years. Which of these stocks do you feel represent the best opportunity in order of priority buy.
Q: Morning 5i team,
Thanks for all your great advice to help grow our portfolios.
I own some URI and looks like it’s stalled and looking to sell that and buy one of the following, COST, TT, WMT, CAT or HD.
What are your thoughts on that move or would you put it somewhere else?
Q: Hi. I currently own ABBV, AMZN, AXON, COST, GOOG, LLY, MSFT, NVDA, VRT in a cash account and have money for one more new stock with medium risk tolerance focused on growth. Your top 5 suggestions, regardless of sector would be appreciated.
Q: For someone with no current cybersecurity holdings would you buy either crowd or Palo Alto at current prices or hold off? If you had to pick one which one would you select and why? Thank you,
Q: Dear 5i, can you please provide some Canadian and US listed stocks that you consider best of breed related to the Cyber Security theme. Many thanks!
Q: Hi 5i Team - In your answer to a previous question you mentioned First Solar and Next Tracker as two of your preferred companies in the solar energy field. Are there any others in Canada or the U.S. including small and mid-caps that you think have potential. They don't have to be profitable at this point but should have decent fundamentals. Thanks.
Q: There is a $460 all cash offer in play for ATRI. However there are a number of money managers who feel this offer is low. Is this a done deal or is a competing offer likely/possible. Wondering wether to sell now or wait a while.
Q: An analyst quoted in Bloomberg said "Ferragu downgraded the AI-focused chipmaker to neutral from buy, writing that the stock is “getting fully valued” after soaring 154% this year, on top of a gain of almost 240% in 2023. Shares fell 1.9% on Friday, compared with a gain of 1% for the Nasdaq 100 Index.
Additional upside “will only materialize in a bull case, in which the outlook beyond 2025 increases materially, and we do not have the conviction on this scenario playing out yet,” Ferragu wrote.
It seems he's alone in his downgrade to 'hold'. Do you share his view? Should we bail out of the stock now, or take some profits at least?
Q: I have heard a lot of good thing about CPRT. Can you explain why its better company compare to its competitor. what is it doing that's giving it a edge over others?
Q: I hold the above positions in approx equal weights in a non-registered account from which I need to raise some cash for a home project. If you were to sell entire positions, in what order would you proceed, first to be sold through to tenth (ie which positions do you see as having the most potential yet to be realized and would be later in your sell order)? Alternatively, are there some positions you would sell outright while trimming as needed from others, and if so, which ones would be sells - again in what order - and which would be trims? Many thanks.
Q: Could you please provide the 1 and 3-yr revenue and eps growth projections for fortinet? In your opinion, is it a buy or do you have a better suggestion for this sector?
Q: This is about the Van Eck MREIT etf symbol MORT. Good buy here, with a high dividend and rates about to come down? Outlook for the dividend and share price please over the next few years as rates come down. Thx.
