Q: I have about a 4.25% weighting in ORC. I have done fairly well on it. I understand that it comes with some risk. Just curious do you know much about this company? I was thinking of selling soon but the monthly dividend is hard to give up in US funds. If I did sell I would have over 10K to start a position on the NYSE. I was thinking MSFT, INTC or CSCO I already own DIS, SBUX, JNJ, SBR just to name a few in US Also I was thinking ABBV or Abbott. Just wondering about ORC and its risks Thanks
Jimmy

Q: I would like to invest in a restaurant stock in my balanced portfolio. I was thinking of SHAK, HABT, CMG in the US or MTY, QSR in Canada. Could you give a break down of each, which is the best investment for a greater than 5 yr hold. I'm looking for GARP.
Q: Is it a good time to buy Cognizant Technology in the current markets?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Would you consider Home Depot a better and safer way to play US housing than lumber stocks such as West Fraser or Interfor? Also, would you have a preferred idea for US housing to either?
Thank You,
Barry

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I was following the tap on HMY right until the close...in fact several minutes after the close to make sure I got the final and accurate numbers. Then later in the day I noticed that over 65 million shares were sold several minutes at or after the close...I am puzzled. Please explain how this happened! Also with such a tremendous sell order would you consider a 10% drop in price respectable?
Thanks...always great to know that clarification is only a click away!

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Given the weakness in lumber prices, would you recommend Home Depot as a better way to play U.S. housing than lumber stocks such as West Fraser Timber? Do you have any companies you would prefer to either?
Thank You,
Barry

Q: For the "balanced" portfolio, the target % for transportation is 5% and the current actual is at 2.6%. The existing equal weight % positions are CNR and TFI. I would like to add to this sector in CDN and/or US dollars, say at least 2 more positions What are a few names you suggest would be a good mix with the existing ones, for me to consider within a portfolio managed 5iR approach?.....Thanks....Tom
Q: Semiconductor companies represent about 5% of 'folio.
For some reason, the logic of which escapes even me, I am not worried about other semis I have , all of which are down. But Micron has me puzzled. Micron's continuing and rapid descent looks similar to an object trying futilely to escape the powerful gravity of a black hole.
I look at MU's financials and my lying eyes see only a beautifully valued company. I lie to myself and pretend that I do not fall in love with my stocks , but I do. I have thus hung on to Micron. And now I rationalize (illogically) that it is ridiculously cheap,so why sell now? Am I wrong ? Do you see much more downside? (I refer herein to Micron , not more downside on my reasoning or logic).
Do you advise sell?

Q: it seems just last week I complemented you guys on a 40% move on PSEM that you recommended as it was taken over.
This am it was announced that another company you recommended had a very positive test outcome on one of its cancer drugs and it is up 80% this am. Again amazing recco.
When you look at the press announcement what do you recommend I do with my 2500 shares? Buy more, sell, or just hold?

Q: Hi,
I'm looking for an American financial. Not impressed with their banks in past year, but I am impressed with both Visa and Blackstone. Which would you prefer for a long term hold of five years? Also, can you comment on the tax implications of a LP?

Q: Thanks for making clear sense of a confusing prospectus!
I do have a follow-up question that maybe you can also help with. I connected my broker (RBC Direct) and asked them if there is anything I need to do now. The prospectus talks about 'exchanging' shares. RBC couldn't answer. Do you know if I will simply receive "x" number of Olin shares (based on the ratio of 0.8748 per my Dow shares) and retain my current Dow shares as well?
Again, your guidance is very helpful, thank you!

Q: Hello team, I've been watching at these stocks (all US) for awhile and it seems I've missed the boat on all of them. If you happen to know about them, would you pls. give me your thoughts? Do you think they still have some upside?

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Would you prefer Starbucks or McDonalds for growth going forward, with a bit of explanation?

Q: Hi Peter
What biotech stocks do you prefer? Many seem to be breaking out based on point and figure charts. What biotechs would you recommend in terms of individual names and also what ETF do you prefer?
Thanks so much!

Q: Hi guys,
I'm a Dow shareholder, and while I know your focus is not US, I was wondering if you could offer some clarity on the upcoming merger/sale of Dow's chlorine division with/to Olin Corp. The prospectus talks of exchanging Dow shares for "Splitco" shares, into Olin shares ...
Any clarity and advise you can offer is much appreciated.

Q: Peter
You once indicated that you had Priceline as a company with a superior business model long before its stellar gains. The results are borne out in the linked article. Wouldn't it be FUN to find the next 4,000% gainer?

Q: Hi there, instead of complicating my Us and international positions, I was considering VTthx as an idea since the mers are low as well. I was considering 50% of my Rrsp for this since it is diversified. What do you think of this approach for a 20 year hold...do you think this can come out more successful than multiple positions?if you suggest multiple positions can you provide some suggestions for a long term hold.
Q: Would please give me your thoughts on the company.
