Q: I currently hold full positions in GIB, Engh and KXS and a 1/2 position in SYZ and am looking to add another 1/2 position. I can't decide between topping up SYZ, adding a new 1/2 position in CSU or selling SYZ and go with a full position in CSU. Part of me would like to stay more concentrated (I am very comfortable with the 3 full holdings) but I guess at the end of the day, I am wondering if the hoped for outperformance of SYZ outweighs the very solid expected growth of CSU. While I like the added benefit the SYZ dividend provides, I do not currently need the income.
I am interested in your opinion as to my options. Appreciate the insight.
Q: I would like to invest in 11 ETFs that track the TSX's 11 sectors. Are there individual ETFs for each of the TSX's 11 sectors. If so what ETFs for each sector would you recommend. Thanks ... Cal
I am holding RBC Life Science and Tech mutual fund (RBF1030)which is a nice mix of U.S. technology and health care stocks.
What would be a good ETF to replace it or, alternatively, which stocks combination would replace it advantageously ?
Q: Google is said to have a very wide moat with it being a leader in search. But we all know what happens in tech -- when people reach the top there is no more room to grow or something disrupts that moat and it comes crashing down. How secure is Google and CSU and Shopify of them not being disrupted by new, nimble startups?
Q: NXJ seems to be turning the corner as to its wealth management offerings based on last quarter's results.I would appreciate your view on this company ,please.
Q: I hold XQQ and have a small gain. In light of the US election result would you recommend holding on to this etf? Or, would you switch to a Dow based etf? Thanks, Bill
Q: I am considering taking a position in either Absolute Software or Chesswood Group as I am looking to increase my exposure to small cap with dividends ( I am particularly light on tech ). I would appreciate your choice between these two, and your reasons. Many thanks.
John
Q: I try to mirror your balanced portfolio to a strong degree. But I also have US, mainly tech stocks (Apple, Google, Facebook, Nvidia, Amazon) which amount together to about 10% of my portfolio. Do you feel I should be wary of having too much tech, and if so, which of the Canadian tech stocks in your balanced portfolio would you drop, bearing this in mind?
Q: I like the IT space and in the past I have owned all 4 companies. I started to raise cash some time ago and currently own none of these Companies. I want to get back into this sector. Which of these should I focus on with a view to both safety and growth?
