It's funny, many of the people (non experts) I follow on Twitter/X aren't impressed, as everyone would rather see that money stored up to continue with acquisitions. I guess CSU/TOI/LMN has raised their own bars so high a special div seems small compared with the overall returns people have some to expect from them....
Q: Your comments on the Q4. Does not look that bad but after hours are terrible. Margins seem to improve, the expectations were too high? Time to add on weakness? What about the customer retention?
Q: Can you comment on todays news of takeover of Spirent and what it can mean going forward. Market seems to like it. What's your take? Is it a good buy?
Q: Softchoice issued a special $4 dividend today as part of their quarterly results. Any thoughts as to why they issued such a large special dividend?
Thanks
Q: Hi Team,
LNN as I had somewhat feared has taken a huge hit with the preferred share set up. Same thing was done with the Toi spin off and it took over a year to recover from. This to me is managements payday for doing the spin offs . They paid themselves these shares it seems to me . Question is do you think the preferred share deals with Toi and now LMN were a bit greedy or excessive on managements part . LMN seems to be a large hit worth over half of the companies market cap. Will take a long time to recoup that amount of cash at today’s free cash flow rates . This all being said ; analysts must have known about this yet the stock had previously run up anyways . Comments of any concern please .
Q: Hello Peter,
While Bitcoin has been on a tear the past week, stocks like MARA,RIOT,CLSK,IREN have been trending down. When one looks at the graph, the negative co-relation is baffling.
What in your opinion is going on? Is this a buying opportunity or there will be better one when Bitcoin takes a pause and consolidates.
You do not think the stocks are a sell do you?
Regards.
Rajiv
Q: Nvidia, Constellation Software and Broadcom (in that order) have pulled away from the other stocks in our portfolio. We know how you view NVDA and CSU and wonder how you would rate AVGO to overweight in the portfolio as well? We hold AVGO in two registered accounts for the nice dividend.
Thank you
While looking into the stock, I found that it has very high stock based compensation. This seems quite concerning to me. I know you like the stock, so is it something that is justified because of its growth?
Q: I recall a few years ago that Blue Yonder launched a law suit against KXS over some patent issues. Any update on this? Is it an overhanging issue for the company? Do you feel it is weighing on the stock and that investors should be taking this into account?
Can you review the LMN results and provide your feedback on the results. Also can you comment on valuation EV/Ebitda and its growth rate relative to expectations.
Q: Hi,
Would you have any concerns for CRWD's upcoming earnings report? Given that PANW got hit fairly hard after their recent earnings, I am wondering if we might see something similar on CRWD, and whether or not today's drop is a bit of a heads' up something is about the change? Any thoughts you can offer would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Dawn
Q: How good is Nvidia’s moat to its broader sales clientele, and to what degree could competition or demand fatigue place its top and bottom lines, and by virtue its multiples and stock price, at risk of slow down and potential downside?
Q: Dell was up 30% today. But I read the PE as only 16. Of course, that was likely before the raise. Would you buy into it now as a relatively solid, stable, but growing tech company?
