Q: Goldman reduced its rating to sell. Would you consider this an opportunity to increase my position from half to full? Has anything changed? Thank you and merry Christmas to everyone.

Q: Hi 5I team
My question is on a US stock. I've been holding Biogen BIIB for nearly two years and I'm down 32%. It does not look very promising under trump. I'm thinking of selling and moving the rest of the money in finacials like JPM or Bank of America. Could I get your insite. Thanks Maurice

Q: I am looking to add defence spending to my portfolio. - What do you think of ishares ITA as a long term hold
Q: I have the following dividend paying stocks in my portfolio. Pipelines, Enb., Trp, PPl 9%, Utilities, Bep, CU, EMA, FTS. 8%, Telcos, BCE, T. 3%, Banks TD, BNS, RY 12%. Industrial, BIP, CNR, WSP 8%. Consumer Couche Tard, Cineplex 4%. I hear all the experts say with rates rising and the emphasis on growth stocks in the trump era Dividend stocks will not do well. What do you think? I like the dividend payers. I do need to sell one security to raise cash. What do you suggest? Thank You.
Q: So we've had the rate hike everyone knew we would have. The language was a tad more aggressive than expected and the market sold off. My confusion is why did Sun Life (and other insurance companies) and BNS (and most other banks) sell off too? Isn't this even better news for them?
Q: With BEP.UN included in the income portfolio: Will it still be maintained within the portfolio now that President Elect Trump is tweeting about renewing coal as a viable option in energy and his pulling back on "clean air", carbon emissions etc?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Hi 5i Team,
Ever since Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the job of U.S. President, he has repeatedly made disparaging remarks about China. I'm starting to wonder if all this trash talk might not cause investors to dispose of any holdings they might have in Chinese companies.
I currently own shares in Alibaba but I fear that they might follow the same pattern as Boeing and Northrop Grumman did in the aftermath of negative tweets by the President-Elect in recent weeks.
Do you see this as a likely possibility? Should I sell as a precaution?
Robert

Q: Do you think tax loss selling is mostly over, and it is time to start picking up some bargains, or do you recommend waiting until later this month or even into,January?
Q: While analysts are still recommending US regional banks as a play on higher interest rates, I heard on BNN this morning that insider selling in regional banks has reached record levels. Do the insiders know something the analyst don`t? I should add that I have a half position in KRE.

Q: I have a question about 929
Hello, I've noticed that CCL is not participating in the recent rally. Just wondering whether there are any apparent reasons for it being left out? Anything to do with negative headwinds on trade, a la TRUMP, or with the USD rallying? Many thanks!

Q: Can you provide an overview of this name. Are you still looking closely at PIH as an interesting company not yet covered? Insiders own a very large portion. Are you concerned about Trump re NAFTA here? Would you consider this company as a good growth stock or would you recommend something else. Understand risks/volatility with small cap.
Q: What would be your choice between these two for growth in the coming year bearing in mind interest rate hikes and the Trump administration effect? Would appreciate hearing your reasons. Thanks again.
Q: I decided in early November to use your service and construct a portfolio mirroring the Balanced Equity portfolio of now 23 stocks. I tried to acquire each of the equities below the October 31 closing prices however the above three have galloped away and are the only ones I haven't yet acquired. Should I continue to be patient and await a pullback or should I take the longer view and buy at this point even though each of the three has moved strongly higher in the last month or so. Alternatively is there another equity(or equities) or ETF to consider in place of the three that you'd recommend. I have bought only one-half of the amount of each of the securities I expect to eventually purchase and have maintained the balance in cash as a matter of caution. All of these funds are held in an rrsp. Would you recommend moving ahead with putting the cash into these equities now and holding only a 7% cash position at current valuations. My time horizon is 3 to 5 years. Many thanks for your advice!!
Q: Not your bailiwick but could you give me your assessment of Mohawk Industries and it's prospects under a Trump administration?

Q: Great Run for US Banks since President Elect Trump is in.
Between Citigroup and Bank of America which is a Better Long Term Growth Investment in this field.

Q: As a retired investor, I have a small defensive position in Goldcorp (which is underwater)and was wondering if Detour Gold would offer better upside potential going forward. I could use the capital loss to reduce this year's capital gains.
Also I'd like to know if you feel gold has lost its defensive nature and is no longer a "must own" in portfolios. Thank you
