Q: Hi, Thank you for the post earnings report on SHOP. Very Insightful !!!

Is it a Great Opportunity to ADD shares ( to overweight ) at $80 level, for holding 3-5 years or longer ?

Q: My total small cap stands at about 12% of total portfolio. As a reminder volatility is part of the game when investing in small caps regardless of the time frame you invest in. I bought these 3 in the last few months with the hope that I had properly evaluated the risk-reward. Having said all that I intend to keep these companies as I still believe that most of the short term risk has now been taken into account. As the Rolling Stones sing... Time is on my side.

Question to 5I, are the 3 all keepers with 3-5 years time frame or are there better options. Those are invested in registered accounts so there is no fiscal benefit to sell. Please identify a sell if one is.

Q: With regard to the money laundering attibuted to TD in their US branches. The media reports referenced "duffel bags" of cash presented to tellers for deposit.
Is there not a rule or regulation that any cash transactions over $10,000 as being required to be investigated. or is that in Canada only Also would not the other tellers/manger not see this happening? Sounds crazy.

Q: With a decent dividend yield a person can be more patient to see growth materialize, but am looking for your input on this stock, and their recent earnings.

Q: This suggestion was made before but wasn't really accepted so I'll try again. I would like to suggest 5i issues a quick report on any portfolio company that takes a sharp downward turn like SHOP did yesterday. I'm not talking about a 5% drop but a significant drop, say 10% or more. You indicated before that the answers to concerns can be gained from reading the questions and answers but these are specific to the writer and may not capture all details. I think what your clients would like is a quick, bring it all together report describing what happened, why it happened, what can be expected going forward and whether it's a sell, hold or buy. Also, a quick update on the rating. 5i is very good in introducing reports on new companies but not quite so good on keeping tabs on companies afterwards if they run into some serious trouble. Just a suggestion that I and I think others would appreciate.

Q: Knowing that portfolio allocations need to be very personal, but would 30% Canada, 45% US, and 25% international work as a general guideline for 60% equity portion of a new RRIF account?
Would you change the 40% fixed portion consisting of 20% 1-year GICs, and the remaining 20% of XHY, CVD, CPD, Bonds mutual fund (currently at loss)?

Q: Your opinion please regarding portfolio construction. Better to add to an existing position in X.TO to bring it from 3% to 4%, or better to initiate a 1% position in H.TO? Separately, which of these two is trading at a better valuation relative to their historical average?

Q: All of the above companies have now reported thier respective quarterly results in the last two weeks and their respective prices adjusted accordingly.

I appreciate that all have been suggested by 5i in response to numerous and varied questions. Based on your overall assessment, the recent results and forecasts and their respective pricing as of todays date, would you be able to rank them for acquisition together with a brief comment please.

Q: This ETF has been recommended as a primary holding by a financial advisor. I see that it pays a small dividend. Do you know if there would be an annual capital gain/loss even if a person continues to hold? What are your comments (good and bad) about having this as part of their portfolio?

Q: Just read the earnings report for ECN . Looks like they had earning of zero per share which the market appears to like .... Could 5i give an analysis and opinion on the two businesses and thoughts for a catalyst going forward ? Also comment on the management changes. I believe management was a large part of the company's original attraction . I also received the " Management Information Circular " in the mail which has comments on the strategic review. It mentions someone called " Skyline " . Could 5i explain who they are,what they do, and translate the explanation of the strategic review from " Business gobbleygook " to " Business for dumbies " so I understand it and what you think of the results of the review ? ..... Are publicly traded companies responsible for preparing the transcripts of quarterly earnings call and/or annual meetings? If not who prepares them?

I have noticed some companies post them on their website and others do not.

I have seen some third party websites post transcripts, but it is often hit and miss

Do you have any recommended web sites for transcripts?

Does your data provided offer this service and could it be incorporated into the data you provide for companies?

Q: I had purchased this in a Canadian TFSA. Just reviewing my investments and I must have asked for this to be transferred to the US TFSA due to dividends being paid in US currency. However, the cost is listed as the Canadian amount! No wonder it's showing I'm underwater. but I don't think it correct. Have you or your readers come across this problem before?

Q: Is there any particular reason why banks (eg. BNS, TD, RY, etc) won't enter the same "non-traditional lending" market as GSY or PRL? Seems like regular banks have all the infrastructure for it and it sounds like there is money to be made. Do you think this would ever be a possibility in the future?
