Q: Hello, Which of these consumer staple names would you consider. I was leaning towards MRU as it seems cheaper that than the other two and the Jean Coutou acquisition sets it up for further growth. I already own PBH but thanks to last year my position is much smaller. Thank you. Shyam

Q: Any thoughts on the class action against NVDA?
-
CME Group Inc. (CME $287.10)
-
Nasdaq Inc. (NDAQ $96.91)
-
Intercontinental Exchange Inc. (ICE $188.45)
-
TMX Group Limited (X $55.83)
-
Cboe Global Markets Inc. (CBOE $250.87)
Q: What is the equivalent public company(s) to TMX in the USA?
Q: I have redeployed some cash when the market was down but I still have a 12 per cent weight in cash. The cash is in TFSA's, RRSPs, and an unregistered account. While that money is set aside in case the market takes another hit, what can I do to get a least 1.5 to 2 per cent return (to stay even with inflation)? Or should I just go back in the market and maintain only a 2 or 3 per cent of cash? I don't plan to need any of these funds for at least a couple of years.
Q: Seems to be a lot of insider buying in this stock, but I don't get the sense from the questions that you are fond of it. Does the insider activity change your mind at all?
Q: HI 5 5iERS!
Time to get Crius - BUY - SELL or HOLD --- appreciate your take on what's real and what's fake ;-)

Q: I've been looking at this stock. I've read the most recent comments on your posts. I'm wondering if things might be different with the current proposed changes to the board that seem to be a bit of a battle in the company. Nice dividend and pretty healthy balance sheet, what do you think of a possible takeover bid coming?
Q: Good Morning,
I currently hold BEP, AQN and ENB in the utilities category of my portfolio with ENB weighted 50% more than BEP and AQN. I want to diversify and add a 4th to the group and would like your recommendation. CU comes to mind but I am wondering if it is still controlled by the Southern family ( Nothing personal but out of principle I am not a fan of family controlled public companies that put family members in charge rather than the best person for the job...). I am a retired investor looking for income with a dash of safety.
Thanks

Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (AEM $172.74)

Q: What do you think of AGI from their last announcement on Jan 14,2019? Do you think think stock is worth holding or sell and then buy both KL and AEM?
Thanks

Q: SPB seems to be favourite among analysts at TD (All buy rate, Jan 2019) and also Thomson Reuters report writers. You have it as a sell . SPB has a high debt (due to adquisitions). (beta is 1.23 on TSX index). Can you comment on the risk due to a market downturn and also on the fact that management seems to be too focused on growing (at all cost) rather than protecting the co. for a storm in the market. Which one you worried more ?
Q: I would like to get your insight on Royal Dutch Shell.

Q: Hello ... I purchased SGY a couple of years ago at much higher levels and am now thinking of averaging down. I consider Surge to be one of the better names in the small cap oil space (if that's possible) as I feel they have good assets, solid management, manageable debt and a sustainable dividend (provided energy prices don't take a tumble). I also think they are a potential take-over target. I'm looking at a 3+ year hold.
Comments please.

Q: I have about $10,000 I would like to get some non-U.S., foreign exposure with. Maybe an ETF or 2, a dividend would be great but not if it takes away all the growth. Would you recommend China, India or Europe? I know it will limit my choices but I would like to purchase it in Canadian dollars. Thank you so much :-)

Q: Jan 18 article on BNN regarding U.S. Hedge fund shorting Canadian Banks. According to them, 80% of Canadian companies are not generating enough cash to support their businesses - the highest in the world. Further they say that 80% of non financial stocks are cash flow negative which they measure as cash flow from operations minus capital expenditures.
Would 5i please comment on this? Most often I read and interpret what I'm reading as a strong opinion from you that most companies that you cover are doing well.
