Q: I am building a resp with a 10 year time span. I want to hold an insurance company instead of bank as the financial component .
Which do you prefer , or would you suggest another instead.

As retirees, and still with a longer-term horizon, my wife and I own (and like) Suncor (integrated), Prairie Sky (no debt) and Peyto (low cost producer) for minimal risk; second, dividend income, and third, capital growth. Oil & Gas is 4% of our diversified portfolio. We plan to keep Suncor. I am considering Freehold Royalty, Tourmaline, and Ensign Energy Services as possible replacements for PSK and PEY.
Q1: Do you feel the stock price declines in the Canadian oil and gas sector represent investor capitulation?
Q2: I would appreciate your comments on the 3 stocks being considered. Would any of TOU, FRU or ESI better meet our investment objectives, compared to our current holdings, PSK and PEY?

Q: Re David's question about book value differences, that could change in a number of different ways, such as reinvested dividends on ETF's, stocks sold at a gain and new stocks repurchased, etc.

Q: Regarding earlier question on seeming overcontribution to TFSA, the discrepancy most likely involves dividend reinvestments which are added to book value.

Q: Hello team. In a nutshell, what is going on at PAYS that has made it "rocket" up as of late. What has fundamentally changed in their business after all these years of being at penny-stock share price levels? Is it something fundamentally that strong that we can expect big growth ahead for years? Are they doing something "disruptive"

Also, if you had to choose between LSPD and PAYS today, which would it be for long-term growth and share price appreciation potential here? Thanks

This is just a quick note of support on the Big Swim Fundraiser event which is in aid of sending kids with health conditions to Camp Brigadoon. Peter will be swimming across the Northumberland Strait, from NB to PEI, on Aug 18th. I trust he is a strong swimmer or the kayaker keeps a close eye on him. We don’t want to lose his sage advice. Q: Hi, I am looking to add a position in either DSG or LSPD to my RSP. I am looking at these to add some growth as I have a number of bank and utility stocks in my RSP now, which provide dividends but not a lot of growth. Can you please advise which you would recommend, including your reasons and also how they compare from both a risk and growth perspective.
