Q: Hello,

Could you please tell me what you think about investing in AMD and/or Nvidia?

What one do you like better/which one has better growth prospects? Also could you please tell me the forward P/E ratios of both.

Q: hi , I hold these 3 stocks , hwo at a small gain the others at a big loss. I need some short term cash what should I sell, ps I think I will get out of energy this year . as oil is likely to pull back what is your view. thx Jack

Q: Good day...Your service and advise has done us well for our tenure with 5i...my question is we have 1600 shares of SIS that is house money at ACB of $6.06 does it make sense to add to this stock or better to hold as is....we have taken profits all along and invested in other balanced stocks and it now represents about a 2% of our total portfolio ...we have the cash to add to this but do not think it makes sense as we gain about 3 times at current ACB...thanks for helping...gene

Q: In the absence of fraud, if a company is trading under tangible book value and it goes bankrupt should the common equity holder get the tangible book value of his/her shares? I say this because I have been in this position before and got nothing with no explanation provided by my broker. As it was a small position and I am not a big player with armies of lawyers I couldn't take it further.

Q: You've liked Descartes in the past and have said it's a good company, but have tended to prefer other tech stocks such as Open Text, primarily because of the valuation of Descartes I believe. I'm wondering what has changed in the last month that you've started to make it as a top pick. Is it simply the 10% approx. pullback after last quarter? Are there any other changes that have occurred that have impacted this decision also? Thanks for your comments.

Q: I own BOS in my TFSA and am down 20%. Given that I can not claim a loss, am I better off holding it and waiting for them to get back on track or selling and moving on? I have a well diversified portfolio and within the Consumer Cyclical sector where BOS resides, I own a full position in MG, TOY and half positions in NFI, CCLb, TSGI, GC, PTE and XTC (but open to others ...DOO?). Your guidance is much appreciated.

Q: This company was recommended by Eddy Elfenbein a few years ago as part of his Buy List. He dropped it this year because he felt that it had become too expensive. I am a buy and hold investor and know that your strategy is to hang on to winners (as long as nothing changes within the company) while maintaining a balanced portfolio.
My question is, is there a time to sell a winner even if nothing has seemingly changed in the company? HEI has grown for several years, had 2 partial stock splits and raised its dividend in the past year, its CEO was executive of the year and it is in an industry (aerospace and electronics) that would seem to still be growing. Other than its debt level increasing somewhat I see little wrong here., although I am not a strong analytical type. While I don't expect 30% plus growth annually, it would seem to still have some oomph left in it. Or has it possibly run its course?

Appreciate your insight.
