Q: Hi Team,

I have the following Allocation:
08% Growth Portfolio
17% Balanced (Model Portfolio)
45% Income Portfolio

This makes a current 70% in Canadian Companies and 30% in cash. The Stocks are held in RRSP portfolio, and I would like to put the remaining 30% into Non_Canadian Dividend/Growth Income area. Can you recommend which ETF's might be able to round out the remaining 30% for me?

Q: I owned this company a couple of years ago and after a long period of non-performance, I sold it. Last July it took off but now again seems to have gone into neutral - perhaps for another 3 years? This company would appear to have a bright future - global reach, new pilots that require training on new planes and to replace the aging (retiring) pilots and some growth in their medical division. Is this one of those companies that just will never be a great grower or do you think that maybe its time has come? I am already invested in the aeronautics space with a US company (Heico) and EIF so I don't need to buy it but was wondering if you thought there is a compelling case to buy.

Appreciate your insight.

Paul F.

Q: good morning:
altagas sure seems to be making a lot of news so far this year ]with more news this morning. Do you think they will have to dilute shares to do some of these these deals and would you think since they pay a nice dividend now this could be in jeopardy.

Q: Background: I owned HOT.UN in my TFSA for the dividend in USD. but then my bank converted the dollars to Cdn (no choice there unless I held it in a USD account apparently) and then there was about 30% tax removed from the dividend as well.
Question: Is this normally what happens? Very confused as American Hotels is Canadian or so I thought.

Q: I have 2 transportation stocks CP and AC, up 30% and 48% respectively in a very short time. Now they represent 5% each of my diversified portfolio.
Both were an opportunistic purchase since I had no transportation stocks. Do you think I should sell them or there is more upside potential? Industry consolidation in case of CP and AC increasing its cash flow, lowering debt, perhaps paying a dividend (don't sell your winners philosophy)?

Q: Cott continue to go go down as I am wondering if there is a better stock that I should invest in or should I continue to hold on or sell it and invest in PBH as I do currently own L but only at 2% weight.

Q: Your thoughts on WSP and Stantec please... they seem to be on a continuous slide the last couple of months...is there anything behind the scenes that your average retail investor is not seeing?

Q: In an otherwise well balanced portfolio, and knowing that they are in different sectors, which of the two stocks do you feel has the better
possibility for growth over the next eighteen months to two years. Dividends are not an issue.Their Market Cap, P/E ratio, REO, and price appreciation over the last one year appear to be similar. Thank you for your opinion. Ian

Q: I read with interest a recent answer that split the 5iR balance portfolio into 3 ‘buckets”. My wife has a RRSP and a regular account….and both of these “buckets” hold 5iR income portfolio positions...and will be adding to it. From risk and diversification reasons, I would be interested in your take on what a two way split of the 5iR income portfolio would be…….Thanks…….Tom
