Q: Hi All at 5i! Could you tell me what the difference in holdings are in these broad ETF S ..which would be the better to hold for the best broad exposure ? And a second question ..could you suggest a Us Money Market ETF. Thanks, Tamara

Q: Hello Peter and team,
I was thinking about buying the following 5 REITS. Collectively they would make up 5% of my portfolio (1% each) and the focus would be on income. I chose them to be a mix of Can, US and Intl exposure, and to have higher yields, and less exposure to commercial.

Please note I have a 2% position in NWH.UN but count that as part of my healthcare portion of my portfolio.

I keep hearing that US Banks will do great in 2018 and am switching from ZWH to ZUB in my RIF where I have a 8.4% weighting. Is this a good strategy or do you have other ideas and why?

Q: I saw Ryan's pick of Descartes on BNN and wonder if you can comment on what catalysts you see for this to go a leg up? My admittedly basic technical analysis doesn't suggest any upward movement so I assume this is underpriced based on fundamentals. My question then is when do you expect it to move and what factors will cause the stock to move upwards?

Q: Constellation Brands released their 3rd quarter results today and stock dropped about 3%, as company moderated its full year expectations to the lower end of forecast. Overall profit was higher, though. What do you think of the results and the company for a small investment, as a part of sector allocation ( and US Equity exposure) for long term ? I have been thinking about it for a while, but never got an opportunity. Thanks

Q: Happy New Year 5i Team.
We have been considering TMX Group (X-T) to add to our holdings for some time.
We are long term hold and income investors.

In a recent answer to a question (December 11, 2017) regarding TMX you replied…
“..The main concern would be the lack of new listings, but listing are somewhat cyclical.”
David Baskin, regarding TMX mentioned on BNN (January 4, 2018) … “Business is going well on all fronts, and the TSX was #1 in international listings last year.”
Do the recent ‘newly’ listed cannabis companies on the TSX improve your opinion of the ‘lack of new listings’ ?

Perhaps I am misinterpreting something here, if so I do apologize.
Do you happen to have any new outlook for TMX for 2018?

Q: My portfolio is 50% U.S; 20% Asia; 30% CAN; I was waiting for the NAFTA negotiations to lower the CAN dollar at which time I would repatriate some cash from the U.S. To CAN.....however with the strong commodity market of late the CAN dollar is surging........should I wait or repatriate now? Just looking for another opinion...... Thank you!

I am a fairly long term investor and I am wondering when I am going to see some up side to these as the oil sector seems to be recovering. Or would you suggest to let them go? Thanks for your time
