Q: For those of us still invested in Amaya, there's a link between the Panama papers and Bazoov's brother and sister. Another reason to doubt the CEO ethics. Even rich as he is, he risked letting his siblings hide money. The man lacks common sense: http://calvinayre.com/2016/04/05/business/panama-papers-link-amaya-gaming-insider-trading-investigation/

Q: How does the Shoppers deal alter the outlook for SIS? Can you see the stock approaching $8 in the next 18 months assuming slow growth?
Thanks and have a good day.

Q: Please provide your opinion on purchasing preferred ETF's at the present time, for a one year hold, and which of the following would you prefer and why?.... CPD (Canadian Preferreds), XPF (North American Preferreds), HPR (Actively Managed Preferreds), ZPR (Laddered Preferreds). These funds would be held in a non-registered, fully taxable account. Thanks!
Q: Hello Peter,
I own some fortis and canadian utilities. I was thinking of selling both to put the proceeds towards hydro one for long term hold. Hydro one has not been around for long time so was wondering if you thought it might be a good idea. thanks very much.

Q: Hi Peter, I know the question I am asking is very hard to predict/answer. Although I would appreciate if you give it a shot.
I currently have your growth portfolio and some stocks from your balance portfolio on a margin account. I have some US growth stocks too(like AGN, CERN, BIDU). I have enough cushion but I do have 30% of my portfolio on margin. I would appreciate if you just do not advice me not to use margin(like other financial professionals).
My question is do you think considering all current turmoil and risks looming(US election, oil price, global recession), should I be better off taking some profit off the table? I was reading Prem Watsa's 2016 letter and he was very negative things to say regarding current valuation. Basically what do you think Canadian/US market would be at year end? Do you think there might be some opportunity(like last August or October or like Feb 2016)? I would really appreciate your insight. What would you do in this situation if you are in my shoes?

Q: Hi Peter, I bought this company in 2015 at 1.50-ish. It is now sitting at 67 cents. I am 62% down on it. I know it is a smaller gas company and I mistimed the buy and my oil/natural gas call was wrong. I bought it at that time seeing its valuation is very cheap. I don't need the capital now and can hold onto it for 5 years. I could not find much info on the company. Do you have some more information on your Bloomberg about this company? What is your analysis on YGR?
Q: What should you do when a stock goes up more than 20% in a month. Case in point is Kinaxis which I am making 23% already. I am thinking of selling 50% or a full position and re-buying after it drops below 40. Do you think this strategy works. Thanks
Q: What's up with the naming convention for preferred shares? For example, Artis REIT Series C Preferred Shares trade as AX.PR.U. I've noticed this with other prefs and find them hard to locate.
Q: Hi there,
Could I please have your current a opinion/analysis on Colliers? It seems to be coming off it's lows. Do you think it is a good buy at this time?
Thanks,
Kerri

Q: Hi,
Can you comment on whether you think the recent drop in stock price is because of the lawsuit directed against ValueAct and what effect it will continue to have an effect on the stock price?
additionally, what do you think of BHI at these prices for a two year hold?

Q: What are your thoughts on recent earnings for HBC . Analysts have cut target price to anywhere from $25 - $31. Price is currently $18.79. Is it a buy at these levels
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Could you please provide an update on QIS. It seems range bound and I am not sure if should keep it for it hasn't done anything in the past year. Would you switch it for KXS and why? Thank you!
Q: I do my investing online so do not have an advisor. There is a notice for Amaya stock owners to see if we want to join the class action suit. I only own 100 shares so not much at risk, but do you recommend to join it, or since I still own the stock, to not join it.
Q: I am a retired investor with a relatively conservative RRSP portfolio of dividend paying stocks. I bought NFI in May 2013 and have done well with it. Should I take my profits, sell it and move on or continue to hold? It is only 2% of the portfolio.
Any suggestion of others in the sector.
Thanks in advance
John

Q: I'm trying to increase dividend and decrease my non dividend paying stocks. Which of these would you buy today for a safe dividend and some capital appreciation on a long term hold? Or does something else look good to you? I'm fairly well balanced with room to buy into utilities, telecom, oil/gas or metals but not real estate, financial, consumer or tech.
Q: I have a well diversified group of ETF's in RRSP and looking to add a few individual stocks. Are there 3-4 stocks with good valuations that you might suggest? Thanks.
Q: Hi 5I: I want to select 2 of Telus, BCE or Rogers as long term holds for a DRIP account. Which two would you pick? Would you hold them in equal amounts? Thanks for your help.
Q: Appreciate your service. I never take yours (or anyone's) recommendations at face value, always do my own due diligence and ultimately, any choice to buy or sell solely rests upon my shoulders. With that being said, I always try to learn from mistakes, and I expect you are the same. WIN is almost a double from it's lows (and from it's removal from your portfolio). Is their a lesson to be learned here? Why do you think it has roared back so fast?
PS - I sold as well.

Robert
