Q: I hold all three companies , all bought when share prices were higher. Comments and rankings on these three please. All have shown some gains recently. Are they worth holding for improved macro conditions and eventual recovery? All three are in a taxable account, so should any be sold for tax loss?

Q: Thanks 5I team for all the insights. It is very helpful. I am planning to sell Sherritt and American Hotels with a big loss in my RESP portfolio rather than wait for any potential recovery, if any. Is that a good plan? Looking to replace it with a good growth stock. The time horizon is 5 to 6 years. I am fine with taking the risk and being aggressive. It will be about 3.5% of the RESP portfolio. Can you please suggest such a good growth stock with that time Horizon? I have no sector or country preference for this.

Q: I would like to use one or more of these companies for tax loss selling. Which two companies do you think are the best candidates to sell. Portfolio diversification will not be affected to any large degree by selling any of these stocks. Thanks.

Q: I don't own Sherritt thankfully. You note today (July 31) in your response to a question on CNC that nickel prices may strengthen due to electric battery demand. Do you think this will help S or are is the company too far gone? S used to own a nickel mine or smelter to Cuba. Does S still have nickel resources in Cuba and if so do you think a Democratic victory this November will ease restrictions on the import of Cuban nickel into the United States? Any comments on S's cobalt warrants? Are the holders in the money?
Thanks,
Jim

Q: I bought a bond from S in 2015 that originally was to mature in 2018, but unfortunately was extended to 2021. In the meantime I have a 56% paper loss. I saw today that S stock price is at $0.18(!). Is there a more than likely chance that Sherritt will go under and if so, is there a way to estimate how much of my principal I can get back? Should I just sell this bond even if it’s in my RRSP? Thanks, Martin
