Q: BNS is the only big bank that I hold a full position in. I keep watching it underperform all the other big banks and it has also been the laggard over a 3, 5, 10, and 20 year time frame(dividends included) compared to the other big banks. Is it time to move on from this stock. TY
Q: After reading your past replies to questions regarding STM, I wonder if you can update your opinion based on news and events since your replies in March and May? The price is higher now but have you also seen increased reasons for investors to look at this? Would it be a worthy buy today or something to wait on and buy only in the event of a pullback?
Assuming you like it, could you compare and contrast the risk and reward between this and something like SMCI? Which would you expect to do better and why?
Q: I am up 100% on NVO. LLY has just received an upgrade and am wondering if I should take profits on NVO and move into LLY or just add some LLY and let NVO run. In your opinion are they too much alike to hold both?
Q: Hi All at 5i! I own both of these stocks and now having broken even I would like to sell them. Do you think they have strong potential growth?? If so I may reconsider. If not, could you suggest some good solid US alternatives … not necessarily proxies.
Thank you,
Tamara
Q: Thanks for your impression of bsm as an investment.
With reference to
First, note that with limited partnerships there are higher taxes for Canadians, including a new 10% tax of the proceeds of disposition.
Does that apply to a rrif or other registered accounts.
Entegris was a top pick on BNN, there hasn’t been a Q on it for awhile. It has certainly bounced big time YTD. Are they just another company riding the AI wave, or do you see some more fundamental reasons that you think could be attractive to investors?
Q: AXON has been favoured by 5i in the past. Its PE is at 104x. I have held AXON for some time but becoming unenamored. Thinking of trading it for CRANE NXT (CXT). Could I get 5i's opinion on this comparison?
Q: If you had to invest today with a 3 - 5 year horizon in the consumer discretionary space which one are you taking? Its also ok to say either or if that how you feel - I can buy both.
I just need a little more weighting in this sector and am waiting for your response!
Thanks for the many years of guidance! Member since the beginning!
Q: So BMO and TD won't allow me to purchase CASH (horizons hisa) .BMO say they have their own (HISA) product that I can buy . Would these be as acceptable as CASH (Horizons product).
Q: In a US $ registered acct with a growth tilt, equities that we hold in a 'smaller' % (1%-2.5% range) of total portfolio are as follows: ADBE, BKNG, CROX CRWD, META, SMCI . Would you put new money into any of these ? At what price ? And what approximate % of a total portfolio would you go up to for any of them ?
Thank you
Reviewing the Q&A section, I see you are positive about PLTR but have cautioned that it is expensive. I reviewed research reports on iTrade's website and see the analysts have a SELL rating!! What is your current take on PLTR?
I would like to initiate a small position. (Use your suggestion to buy one third now, one third later and finally full position.)
Also what are other companies that you would suggest as an alternatives, if not PLTR?
Many thanks.

Q: I am considering taking a position in BPO.PR.C
Attractive yield, 6% min as well 5.18 above 5yr when resets.
The question is would BPO ever default?
Are they allowed to buy these back on the open market?
Your opinion please,,
Looking to add to my current positions in these companies (registered account, 10+ year time frame). If you could please rank them in order of potential upside that would be great (and if there is a company you would stay away from, please indicate).
Q: Hello Team,
I was looking at buying positions in both or 1 of LMN and Ats. However both have been on a sort of run lately , especially LMN. Should I wait for the next pullback to buy into these names? I know you’re not a fan of timing the market but looking for your take here. Thanks
