Q: Considering the addition of a couple of dividend yielding stocks to enhance my wife's monthly income. Presently she has RY, PPL, BCE, KEY, DRG.UN, & STB. While you have not generally recommended STB in the past, I have picked it up periodically for the substantial dividend & this year to date it is up approx. 60% plus the dividend. I would however appreciate your expertise in ranking the following as to their financial stability & current price level for the next 12-18 months: AW.UN, BPF.UN, SRV.UN, KEG.UN & CWX. Thank you.

Q: Hi there, regarding PLI in the GP, can you shed any light as to who's selling heavily? Any insiders selling in the past three months? Any insiders buying recently? Have you finally read the false report, any comments on it? Any thoughts, best guess, as to what price range an equity issue would be done at considering where the stock price is now, if one is done?? Thanks!
Q: I have roughly 5,500 dollars free in US dollars. I am looking at starting a new position that has some growth and pays a dividend. What are my options. I currently already have these in the US

Q: I'm having trouble understanding why TOY has been losing ground for the past few weeks. It has the best selling toy for Christmas although I understand there have been issues with keeping up with demand. Any explanation why it's been steadily dropping of late?
Q: FFH doesn't seem to participate in a rising market and it also is not going up in a down market, would you consider ffh still a decent holding or would you recommend a better name or names in a correction.
thanks, johann.

Q: Further to my comment on Dec 2nd: I checked, and TD Waterhouse synthetic DRIP, as you thought, will not be giving the ECI discount on shares. It has to be done through the company itself to get the discount.
Q: So we've had the rate hike everyone knew we would have. The language was a tad more aggressive than expected and the market sold off. My confusion is why did Sun Life (and other insurance companies) and BNS (and most other banks) sell off too? Isn't this even better news for them?
Q: A comment by a member on his tsfa contribution .in my opinion the tsfa naps been the the best investment vehicle that ever was created and I will always be thank full to the Harper gov for introducing it .
My wife and I generate $600 tax free every month in dividends and in the new with add 7200 that we took out plus our 11000 allowance .
We have found lif rif and Resp to be a burden in our old age i view it as money behind the wall and withdrawals cause claw backs to our oas .
I would encourage ever one to take advantage to what I believe is the best investment vehicle ever introduced
Best regards
Stan

Q: A new issue @ $ 11.75. A senior looking a small position for long term and diversification. Your thoughts.
Q: Recently, insider Bill Holland sold 500K shares. Is that a lot, and of any real concern? Is it a signal of more headwinds coming to their industry with the new CRM2 rules; or could it just be part of his own personal tax-loss selling at year-end? thanks for your opinion.
Q: With over 20% drop in the price today, is it time to buy more or sell and take the loss? How is tax loss selling affecting this stock?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Thoughts on this new issue please?
Thanks,
Ted

Q: What do you think of Premier Gold? The share price has declined a lot compared to other gold companies. Do you know why the downtrend since the summer?
Q: In your summary of the task force report on Cannabis you mentioned in your last "OUR TAKEAWAY" that "the implementation is still far away". I take it that you mean years. This seems contrary my information as I've been advised that actual implementation could be as early as the fall of 2017!
Your comments please. Thank you.

Q: Hi Team,
Recognizing that CEF.A is about 60% gold and 40% silver, which do you prefer, 100% Central Fund splitting between Mint (MNT - gold) 60% and Mint (MNS - silver) 40% for bullion?
Thank you.
Michael

Q: Would you consider XTC a buy or have the risks increased?
Q: I don't hold much in the way of fixed income but based on your sage advice, I have decided to take the plunge. The question now becomes the best way to do it. It seems I have three options. One, buy an ETF. This is easy to do, the MER cost is low and it provides diversification. However, there is no maturity so downside risk is greater and although the cost is low, there is still a cost. Two, buy preferreds. I understand that with the rate reset feature, downsize risk is minimized but there is no maturity date so the initial capital may never be regained. But they are easy to buy. Third, purchase individual bonds. The return could be higher (especially if corporate) and capital should be returned at maturity. However, I have no idea how to buy individual bonds. Can they be purchased through most on-line trading accounts? How do you find individual bonds that are for sale and how do you determine if it is good value (I have no particular expertise in this area)?
Is my synopsis fairly accurate? If so, what do you recommend as the best way to proceed in acquiring this class of assets?
Appreciate your insights.

Q: Physical gold is down to levels last seen in February. I get it that it can always go lower, but is there anything about the price of gold alone that sets a defacto floor (analogously to book value for a business), or is it too much at the mercy of dollar strength, etc., to think of in this way?
Q: I've been cleaning up my portfolio and now have one stock left to decide on which is NHC. I bought it at 9 dollars and its at 2.80 and it is in my TFSA so I cant use a loss for tax purposes. Sell, Hold or Buy a bit more to top up?
