Q: Hi There can you tell me what the fair market value of NVO is at this time? It’s fallen a lot but it’s a solid company, do you think it’s a good pharma pick for 3-5 years?

Q: Hi, my question is a bit specific but also more general. I'm about 25% down on this stock. When I read, it seems that it's solid enough long-term, but it's not going to rise 25% for quite some time. As a non-resident, I cannot sell for harvesting tax losses, but I wonder if selling at a loss and putting the remaining money into something faster growing would be a good idea? Again, part of the question is about this specific stock, and part is a general query. I'm curious about your answer! Thanks!
Q: Hello Peter and Staff
Thank you for recommending PRMW several months back . I’ve had a great ride but wondering where it stacks up now going forward .
I own ATD , DOL as well as it in consumer staples and wonder if L or another one you would recommend would be better than the merged Primo company going forward ?
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: I am considering starting a new position with POU. Buy, hold or sell on this one? If a buy, what is a reasonable price? If not a buy, which company would you prefer in this space? I am a long term hold type
Thank you for your thoughtful service.

Q: Recognizing that I never got past Economics 101 , I see the oil industry as having terrible supply and demand dynamics .We are oversupplied even with
OPEC + purposely restraining output and worldwide oil reserves continuing to grow. The oil energy sector continues to be pressured by the green energy politics and technology. With 2 significant wars going on and supply lines being restrained by Houthi activity , the price of oil has been less than spectacular. Canadian oil companies are cheap for a reason. Please provide another view on this sector. Thanks. Derek

Q: I was wondering if there were any market index ETFs that had a DRIP plan associated with them.
Q: Two questions - Could I have your take on SGML recent earnings please, and (2) HHL has diverged vigorously from its past consistent performance, presumably on the Trump policy on health care, appointees etc. I assume other sector participants will likewise take a hit but would appreciate your take on the matter. The issues affecting the sector appear to relate to policy, not politics.
Q: Hello 5i,
This is a note to Anne H. who posted a question on the Forum August 14 about RRSP - RRIF conversion . I have submitted a reply in the event she is interested.
I am not too sure of any other way to let her know that there has been a response to her query.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Mike

Q: How will the SGOV monthly dividend be taxed in a RRSP? Is an investment in SGOV essentially as safe as a GIC without the loss of flexibility to cash out? If not, what is an alternative for stashing US dollars with a similar return.
Q: Hello,
Could you comment on now that Ontario has partnered with Elon, how does the provincial subsidization of fixed costs for installation of internet, etc. bode for BCE, Telus and other "hardwire" "maybe "fiber optic" providers?
I frequently drive along Hwy 7 and see trees fallen down on the Bell lines - so maintaining this lower margin asset is not a top priority.
How much of a moat is fibre optic vs Starlink?
Elon's satellites have a lot of operating leverage vs copper or fibre optic installation.
Thank you

Q: Hello
Brookfield Corp stock has been drifting lower after making a high of $85, despite strong results. We started a position just before and after results were announced with an average price of $81.50, for a long term hold.
Do you consider $78 to be a decent level to add some shares or wait for a further pull back ? Not sure if following was a reason for the downward pressure, today.
It was reported by a news website EI confidential that Brookfield intends to offer EUR 7 Billion, to buy Spanish Drug maker Grifols with an offer of EUR 10.50, below the price its trading now.
Thank you
