Q: There was a fairly large share price spike on Friday. Any reason why and would this stock be a buy in your opinion?

Q: Happy Canada Day! Your thoughts on Aecon goup? Decent dividend. Is it safe, in your opinion? Can you see them benefitting from Infrastructure spending?
Thanks for all you do!

Q: Good Morning,
I am considering buying ARE and am wondering if the company will be able to participate in the US infrastructure spending. If not what are their growth prospects. Also I am wondering what their debt level is.
Thanks for your input.

Q: Hi All,
I have been considering buying Aecon. However, I have noticed a downward trend in the last little while. Is there a problem with the company or are there other factors involved? Will Aecon benefit from infrastructure spending? Would you consider it a buy at these levels?
Thanks for your opinion.

Q: Hello 5i. I own ARE and am looking for another Canadian company in this space that might have more upside. What names would you recommend and why? Or if you think staying in ARE is better, why?
-
Finning International Inc. (FTT $57.39)
-
NFI Group Inc. (NFI $18.30)
-
Aecon Group Inc. (ARE $20.57)
-
Transcontinental Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (TCL.A $20.29)
-
Magna International Inc. (MG $63.24)
-
Magellan Aerospace Corporation (MAL $15.66)
Q: I currently hold 3% positions in FTT, TCL.A, ARE in the Industrial; as well as MG and NFI in Consumer Discretionary (I realize that these are in a different sectors but are also semi-industrial). I am thinking of adding MAL as a long term recovery play. FTT, & ARE had been added last year for these reasons. I'm quite bullish in NFI and see it as having the most upside in the short term.
Do you see this as being a good addition/strategy?
To fund a 1.5% position MAL is there one company that you see as not having as much "upside" that you would trim by half, or a combination that you would suggest trimming from?
Thanks!
Cory

Q: What is you opinion of this company and future growth
Q: I have been retired for a long time. Is it reasonable to add Aecon (with its larger yield) for income to my portfolio, or is the larger WSP a better choice even though the yield is lower?
Thanks
Thanks

Q: It appears that in post Covid times, infrastructure money will be doled out to get the economy rolling again. It may be time to sell some tech or at least trim. I am currently over 40% in tech. It’s been great but I realize more diversification is important.
I know that you’ll recommend BAD and likely STN but what else may be on the horizon to consider? Thanks
Dennis

Q: Re AEcon, you commented yesterday that you see it as “more sideways than anything” ... could you please expand and explain why you think this? .. I’ve noticed some analysts forecasting a price of $23 (now at about $15), so i take it you don’t share that view ... also, when we see an analyst forecasting a price (e.g. $23 for ARE), what is the time frame? (By the end of this calendar year?) ... thanks!
Q: Hi, I need to raise some cash and thinking of selling this stock, to help with my decision do you know of any impending news that may affect the s/p in the near term.
In your educated opinion is it up, down, or sideways in the near future?
Many thanks,
George

CCL Industries Inc. Unlimited Class B Non-Voting Shares (CCL.B $81.76)
-
Parkland Corporation (PKI $38.87)
-
Aecon Group Inc. (ARE $20.57)
Q: I am thinking of selling these three companies currently held in a growth portfolio to make way for some higher growth tech names. I do have the cash in my RRSP and could buy these stocks back in that portfolio but wonder if you have any better suggestions? I am particularly worried about CCL.B it has not held up to expectations.
Q: Hello, I would like to know your opinion on AECON GROUP INC (ARE). Please comment on their latest financial results published yesterday (Q1). The backlog of orders seems to be well filled. Governments are expected to announce some impressive infrastructure projects in the near future to provide much-needed stimulus to the economy. You can also recommend other construction and engineering firms. Thank you.
Q: Have 2.3% in ARE ,2.4 In TFII. Thing of selling ARE at a loss and adding to TFII purchased @ $28.42 . ARE has. Slightly higher dividend . I consider TFII a better growth stock than ARE.
TFII has had a sharp drop from $48 . I consider throwing out the baby with the bath water. Strong need for transport and lower gas prices adds to an incentive to buy.
I’m I on track?

Q: I have the following securities in what I consider a balanced portfolio. The fixed income portion doesn’t show here because it consists of OAS. CCP. Plus two other pensions.
I’m thinking of sell part position in MMX ( small loss);and ARE to realize a capital loss while at the same time raising some cash for the next pullback. I like TFII . We need to keep the food chain moving. Trucking an important part . The other is cargo jet. Am I on the right track . Your opinion. Or would you look elsewhere given the current holdings.
