Q: I own a small position in PRO REIT PRV.UN. It has performed well and would like to add more units to my position. What is your opinion on this Reit and its ability to continue to grow and pay its distributions? Do you consider it risky and if so do you have other REIT's that you would recommend in this space?
Thanks - John C.
Q: Is there any hope for this stock.? I have owned it for three years at 23.44. It has not raised its dividend since that time and now is at 21.64. You still see to be keeping the faith. Do you have any replacement ideas? Thanks very much. Hans
Q: I see you have recently been supportive of MRT which has seen a substantial run down in pricing in the last five or so years, as has CUF. My understanding is that CUF has measures in place which address its prior shortcomings and should promote a recovery. Do you support this view for CUF and do you consider its prospects favour a recovery in MRT pricing. Thank you.
Q: Back in July you suggested MRT.UN was the safest bet on any stock paying over an 8% yield.
Do you still feel this way? If not, what would you now recommend?
Thank you
Phillip
Q: Sector for CSH.UN is shown as Healthcare in Income portfolio but as Real Estate in Portfolio Analytics. Please clarify if it is 50/50% split between Helthcare / Real Estate.
Q: Your thoughts on this stock is it a hold forever and don’t worry about kind of stock? I have a 23 percent gain don’t know if I should take the profit or let it ride
Q: I see that for NTR and HR.UN the RSI is entering oversold territory. What importance do you place in the RSI for a company when considering a buy or sell? I am considering buying these two companies at these levels, would you recommend a purchase now? I am surprised at the sinking stock price of HR.UN compared to other REITs, do you see a particular reason for this? Thank you for your great work.
Q: FN is down over 5% on a secondary offering. Can I get your take on this, and also on what you think of First National as an investment now? Is there a similar company you feel would make a better investment?
Q: Could you suggest the strategy behind taking a 15% position in APR.UN?I thought the thrust of TWc was to develop some of their golf courses such as Glen Abbey,Kanata and Rattlesnake.
Thanks
Bob Rose
How do you value companies in the REITs space. Is it a multiple of AFFO? If so, what is considered to be fairly valued vs over valued and under valued? Are there different ways of measuring value depending on the space the REIT operates in. For example, are REITs in the multi-family space valued in the same way as REITs in the retail space?
Q: What does Morguard see in PLZ.UN as an investment when
shopping centers seem to be under so much pressure? Is this a contrary strategy or the sign of low interest rates?
Q: Every once in a while, I see a question asked about this company, and your response always says that being small they have small cap risk. While that is true, I have never seen another company that has been so consistently stable between 1.90 and 2.00. Rarely strays away from the $2.00 mark. For 5 years now. So, as a monthly dividend payer, at 8%, this is one of my go to stocks when there is market uncertainty. No growth but consistent dividend.
