Q: Good afternoon. What are your thoughts on holding physical gold (or silver) bullion as opposed to owning gold/silver stocks, ETFs or other paper? Also, do you have any information and/or opinions on Silver Gold Bull Canada (https://silvergoldbull.ca/) operating out of Calgary?
Thanks as always for your terrific service.

Q: I appreciate you view on the Hudbay minerals announced offer to buy any or all of its outstanding US$920 million aggregate principal amount of 9.500% senior notes due 2020. I own some of these bonds and I feel their offer is not attractive enough to redeem. What is the risk of not tendering? Do you think HDB can survive to pay those bonds?I don't mind holding the bonds until maturity, unless you think that HBM will not survive until then?If I tender what would would be reasonable replacement.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I know you like MND as a junior gold stock and it's price is quite dependent on gold. I am working on the assumption that gold will break $1200.00 again ...probably $1300.00 and maybe even $1350.00 in 2017. Based on that outcome do you think MND is of good value if it can be purchased in the $0.68-$0.71 range? If not would you recommend another junior?
As always thanks for your competent and reliable knowledge!

Q: I was thinking of getting back into a larger cap gold company taking advantage of the months long dip. Which one of the 2 companies would be the best choice?
Which one has the best all in cost/oz?
Thanks,
Andrew

Q: Good afternoon, and I hope everyone is well. Graphite was hot last year, and everyone was excited about graphene. Now that the interest has subsided I am interested to hear your views on graphite, graphene and the company in particular. Thank you, and my best wishes to all.
Q: This graphite co is in Quebec. Has the support of the caisse and the Gov of Quebec and is up about 75% in the last year. It is well located and financed and has most of the infrastructure in place with very high grade grahite.

Franco-Nevada Corporation (FNV $323.44)
-
Wheaton Precious Metals Corp. (WPM $169.65)
-
Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (AEM $265.03)
Q: Hi Team,
I have a slightly overweight position in Franco Nevada, a half position in each of Agnico Eagle and Klondex, less than a half position in Silver Wheaton and bullion holdings including CEF.A.
I am trying to clean up a bit and am considering selling SLW and adding the proceeds to CEF.A, and selling KDX and adding the proceeds to AEM. I would be left with FNV, AEM and bullion as a result.
This would allow me to increase my weighting in bullion and reduce my weighting in bullion equities and move to full positions (or so) in the remaining holdings.
Do you have any feedback on this plan?
Thank you, Michael.

Q: Are there any public companies out there with a good foothold in the graphene development market? I read that it's going to be the super material of the future, but that it's early days still. A recent story about new battery technology based on graphene that can be charged in seconds and last for weeks has tweaked my interest in this material.
Q: I have CEF and PVG both up am thinking about selling and putting the proceeds to AEM, What do you think? Many Thanks
Q: What is your opinion of this deal (and Rick Rule- who seems to use a lot of big words in many paragraphs when smaller words in a short sentence would suffice !) I have owned SRC for years and it seems to continually circle the drain. Thanx Robbie
Q: I am looking for one, and perhaps two, buys in the materials space related to steel. Do you have favourites among the kinds of names here and how would you negotiate the potential upcoming political tailwinds/landmines, if at all? Thank-you again.
Q: I see only one previous question on GRG, in May. Do you have an updated view, especially in terms of the joint venture with Silver Standard? The .75 July private placement comes off lock-up on Nov. 29. Current share price is just below that. Would this be a good entry point? Looking at this as a 1% speculative position.

Teck Resources Limited Class B Subordinate Voting Shares (TECK.B $69.84)
-
Trevali Mining Corporation (TV $0.21)
Q: Given the run in Teck, Hudbay, and Trevali, what is now the best way to play zinc? Is there another company you like which has more upside?
Q: Hi 5I team, please rank Tck.b, Hbm, Mpv and Fm risk and reward? Thank You.
Q: An article in the Globe Nov 15 pointed out the positives on this junior minor, including its first pour on Nov. 7 and projected 70,000 ounces in 2017. Stock price has fallen back to 73 cents from its peak at 99 cents a few weeks ago. There would seem to be support around 70-75 cents, after its run up from 25 - 30 cents early this year. Do you have any update to your earlier commentary? This would be for a speculative 1% position.

Thank you

Q: Back in July, I purchased the Global X Gold Explorers ETF (formerly GLDX, now GOEX). I was reluctant to sell when it started to dip, but since the price of gold keeps falling I'm wondering what to do. My time horizon is long and my allocation is small, so I can live with being in the red for many years. What I’m wondering is if it's safe to hang on to it, in terms of there being any risk to the underlying companies or even the ETF provider itself. Should I have any concerns about Global X? Also, if I can ask a related question, if an ETF under-performs for long periods, is there a risk of it being discontinued? Thanks for your help.
Q: Hello.
I'd appreciate your analysis of Amerigo Resources. I note it is hitting a 52 week high.
It appears to be a copper play with rising income.
I see quite a bit of insider buying this month.
Thank you!
Brian

Q: hi 5i
Patience has been rewarded and I now am up 25% on Trevali ($1.35). I see a few price targets at the current price. Do you think there is further gains to come?
Also could you list a few potential tax loss buys from each portfolio?
