Q: I bought FLUT shares when they listed in the US thinking they have strength in being the largest international company in sports gambling. Worried to hear recently that they might IPO FanDuel independently from FAN and thus potentially split the interest amongst 2 stock choices and dilute the FAN price. Notes from today’s strong earnings report stated that ‘ Jackson (CEO) said he had no plans to rename the company FanDuel or pursue an initial public offering of that business, something he once considered’. If that statement can be taken on face value, do you see FAN as being more attractive previous to the earnings and that revised strategy?
Q: Greetings, can you please provide an analysis of the June 30/24 financial results and your assessment of future prospects. Would you rate it as a buy, hold or sell? Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i Team - Could you provide an update on Flutter Entertainment including your opinion on purchasing it at its recent price. Also you mentioned in a previous answer in May that the passing of a progressive tax on online sports betting in the Illinois senate was bringing the sector down. Do you think this is still a concern for Flutter and that other states may follow suit.
Also any idea on when Fan Duel might be spun out. My understanding is that shareholders will not receive shares in Fan Duel. Is this correct.
Q: Can you comment on company financials and if it is worth starting a new position?
Is the forward dividend yield of 10% sustainable or it's a value trap ?
Q: Is China investable at this stage or would you wait longer for things to stabilize? I know it will take patience but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth stepping in with a half position.
Thoughts on buying KWEB as an internet ETF or would you prefer a combination of BABA/TCECHY/JD etc.?
Q: Please comment on this small company GMM which is showing phenomenal results in the latest 6 month results. The company made 36 cents in 1H but the stock is stuck at 90 cents. Please provide your view. Thanks
Q: I have noticed that the real estate ETFs have been languishing over the last 10 years. What is your view of the real estate ETFs over the next 5 years? Under what conditions will these ETFs do well? What type of real estate ETFs do you expect to do well (domestic vs international, commercial vs residentical, etc.)?
Please recommend a North American and an international ETF which you feel could do well over the next 5 years. What percent of a portfolio would you recommend include real estate for diversification purposes?
Despite beating analysts expecations, AMSL is dropping like a rock today on fears of the US Govt imposing restrictions on trade to China. How serious do you view this? Trying to decide on whether it's time to get out. Thanks.
Q: With ongoing growth in the Indian economy, do you recommend investing in an etf or other vehicle there? Our access looks to be limited to a handful of large caps.
Q: While it's outside your normal sphere of interest, is there a solid basis for believing JMIA has turned the corner to realize its potential? I have long liked their Baillie Gifford association but their potential's realization has been a long-time coming...
Best regards,
David
Q: Hello 5i Team
Do you think that investing in Inda and Japan ETF is beneficial for diversification and growth. Are there any ETF that you can recommend?
Thanks
Very interesting article in the recent moneysaver about stock market history. What do you see as the chief reasons the Japanese stock market was down for so long a period of time.
Q: Using the Portfolio Analytics, I see I need to increase my international exposure. What strong performing stock and ETFs do you suggest? In Canadian dollars, and US dollars.
Also I'd like to know if CSU, LMN and TOI are Canadian.
