Q: May I please get your current thoughts on TH International. Growth seems strong and they are starting to open up Popeyes locations as well as Tims. Thanks.

Q: Good afternoon all;

I have a developing opinion (still sorting it out) that it may be time to increase overseas holdings; I have underrepresented them significantly in the past 5 years. I am particularly looking at the African and SE Asian (ex China) economies. While I understand these may not be questions fully in your wheelhouse, your views would be appreciated.

- Do you concur that, subject to Black Swan events, we could expect overseas economies to outperform Canada in the coming few years?
- What geographic areas would you put focus on?
- Do you have 2 or 3 ETF's that may suit such a strategy? DGS is one that has peaked my curiosity.

Thanks for your assistance as always.

Q: Hi,
I am under weight in both international and fixed income.
I have US$ cash in both my RSRP and TFSA that I'd like to invest in these areas.
Can you recommend some US$ ETF's.
Much appreciated.

Q: VEE has not done much in my portfolio over the years and as a result its weighting in portfolio has dropped. I would like to add to my emerging markets exposure but I am hesitant to invest in china with the growing tensions in the south China seas. Is there a liquid ETF that will give me the exposure I desire without the China risk.

Q: 3 years ago I divided my pension 50/50 between MFS Global Equity and Schroder Emerging Markets in an effort to increase my international exposure. I had been 100% in the MFS Global Equity Fund and would have been much better off had I stayed there. I have a couple of options as I see it:

1) Move back to 100% MFS Global Equity Fund (portfolio drops to 20-25% international)
2) Stay the course (portfolio stays at 30% international)
3) #1 plus allocate some non-registered funds to an international ETF to get portfolio back to 30% international (suggestions?)

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I know international markets aren't your wheelhouse per se but any insight you have is appreciated. I have been reading a lot about Mexico's surprising growth over the last few years and better-than-thought projected growth for 2024. It sounds like even Scotiabank is planning on redirecting investment from other underperforming Latin American countries to Mexico in it's "Mexico First" strategic plans.
With this in mind, do you know of any Mexican companies that may benefit from this growth with compelling fundamentals that are listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ? Or even American companies that get most of thier revenue from Mexico?
I already own the ishares Mexico ETF but was interested in buying some individuals stocks.

Thank you all for your always sage advice and wishing you all an excellent and relaxing holiday season!

Q: I'm thinking about adding an emerging market ETF to my portfolio, what do you think about this ETF? I like the dividend and the holdings, i suspect you might have reservations about the market cap and volume?
Is there another EM ETF that you prefer?
